Ashley Bryan: The Spirit of Joy
Featuring painting and sculpture by Nayana LaFond and a video installation by Cat Del Buono, these two exhibitions bring visibility to domestic violence victims and survivors, their friends and family, and activists. They invite viewers to contemplate the role art can play in raising awareness and providing a sense of empowerment and healing.
This exhibition brings the unbridled creativity of award-winning children's book illustrator and author Ashley Bryan’s home to life through a selection of toys, objects, puppets, paintings and photography.
The Wee Worlds of Salley Mavor This is a unique opportunity to experience the exceptional detail and three-dimensional quality of Salley Mavor’s bas-relief embroideries, featured as illustrations in many children's books.

Janet Marie Yeates has had a long career in the arts, and has lived in the southern Adirondacks for more than 20 years. She paints portraits, still life, and figurative oil paintings, as well as beautiful landscapes of upstate New York and Southern Vermont. Of her landscapes, Yeates says, “The challenge of painting outdoors is addictive. It involves intense concentration. When I successfully focus on the crucial elements of a composition, I arrive at a serene perception of being part of a brief episode in time.”
Naomi Lindenfeld creates stunning ceramic pieces in her West Brattleboro studio, using layers of oxide-stained porcelain. She draws inspiration from the movements in dance, and the patterns and rhythms of nature. “When carving into layered colored clay, I experience visual wonder and discovery,” she says. “Rings of color reminiscent of ripples of water, wood grain and rock striations are revealed.”
