ABOUT US

ICFF Jr. is an annual film program that promotes and supports Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese language and culture, with a special emphasis on Italian cinema.

FILM PROGRAM FOR 8-18 YEAR OLDS

The program includes feature films, animations and shorts.

ICFF Jr provides educators with an alternative teaching method that respects a variety of learning styles.

40 SCHOOLS AND 3000 STUDENTS

MISSION 1. To use cinema as a tool to enrich students’ analytical and critical thinking skills.

2. To provide opportunities for students to interact with critics, directors and actors engaging them through six days of films, debates and creative workshops.

ICFF JR. 2017 Once again this year, we aim to surprise you with even more titles than in previous years.

It will be a promotional forum for foreign films, as well as a way to focus on our primary objectives for our current and future audiences.

EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT Film is the perfect medium to facilitate different learning experiences Educators have the opportunity to offer alternative strategies for media literacy Educational material available for enrichment and creativity.

An important educational experience that will teach students how to view a film Sudents will have the opportunity to interact with actors and filmmakers

6 ELEMENTS OF FILM • SCRIPT • ACTING • DIRECTING • CINEMATOGRAPHY • EDITING • SOUND & MUSIC All film screenings are preceded by a presentation, in which students are exposed to a lecture on the 6 elements that compose a film.

Q&A WITH ACTORS AND DIRECTORS Following the screening students will be invited to evaluate the film on the basis of the elements covered in the lecture
