Puffer® CM-O Pro for Codling Moth

Optimized aerosol pheromone solution for codling moth control

CheckMate® Puffer® CM-O Pro is Suterra’s optimized aerosol release formulation for codling moth (CM) mating disruption in apples, pears, walnuts and other crops where CM is a pest.

This proprietary formulation results in enhanced aerosolization of the pheromone creating a spray that better penetrates targeted areas of the canopy. The fast-to-deploy product releases a precise, consistent amount of CM sex pheromone throughout the orchard, reducing adult males’ ability to find females. This disrupts the mating cycle and suppresses pest populations.

CheckMate® Puffer® CM-O Pro is compatible with all integrated pest management (IPM) tools. The product is also suitable for organic production.

Why Growers Choose CheckMate® Puffer® CM-O Pro

• Pre-programmed for time zone and pest

• Specially designed to prevent phytotoxicity

• Temp. sensor suppresses puffing at low temps, allowing growers to hang anytime with no coning or clogging

• Sealed, waterproof design with reliable batteries made with heat-shielding material developed for NASA

• Consistent and precise release throughout the orchard

• Reduces pest populations

• Fights development of insecticide resistance

• Does not harm beneficial insects

• Low worker exposure

• No pre-harvest interval

• Authorized for organic production

• Free recycling of all Puffer® materials

Damage Reduction

The addition of CheckMate® Puffer® CM-O Pro into a comprehensive IPM program cuts codling moth damage by 50% or more.

Trap Inhibition

CheckMate® Puffer® CM-O Pro hinders the ability of males to find pheromone traps as compared to areas treated with grower standard practices.

Application Overview

• Always remember to turn on the device

• Hang Puffers® high in the tree canopy facing away from vegetation

CM 2.0 Flowable for Codling Moth

The first sprayable pheromone for codling moth control

CheckMate® CM 2.0 Flowable is Suterra’s pioneering sprayable pheromone release formulation for codling moth (CM) in apples, pears, walnuts and crops where CM is present.

This is an easy-to-deploy, flexible option for CM control, CheckMate® CM 2.0 Flowable easily fits into growers’ existing integrated pest management (IPM) program. It is tank-mixable with common agrochemicals and works well with nearly any water volume. This product releases the CM sex pheromone in microcapsules throughout the vineyard, reducing adult males’ ability to find females to disrupt the mating cycle and suppress pest populations.

CheckMate® CM 2.0 Flowable gives growers the flexibility to spray few or many times throughout the season depending on the timing and pressure of CM in their orchards.

Why Growers Choose CheckMate® CM 2.0 Flowable

• Flexible way to reduce codling moth damage

• Reduce pest populations

• Fights development of insecticide resistance

• Easy-to-deploy liquid formulation

• Tank-mixable with common agrochemicals
