A great beginner eBike. The motor kicks in only when you pedal, and stops helping at 20 mph There is no throttle and you can ride these bikes on the streets and on most bike paths These bikes tend to be the most affordable.

Class 3

These bikes have the most petalassisting power. They have a max speed of 28 mph. While they are more expensive if you plan to use your eBike to run errands, and haul cargo, it may be worth the investment. Know that these bikes are not allowed on off-road trails

These bikes also offer a pedalassist mode up to 20 mph plus a purely throttle-powered mode. They are allowed on some offroad trails.
