Worthing music charity offers free sessions

AudioActive is a Worthingbased charity providing music projects for young people aged 12-25 across Sussex. The sessions range from workshops on music production, together with rap and lyric-writing, and are completely free of charge.

A live session featuring both established and emerging artists, including Dr Syntax, CMPND, Hatter, Gi3mo & Skii is on Friday 7th April in the charity’s own performance rooms in Worthing. Tickets are available free of charge. The event will also include a section called “Room to Rant” which features performances from workshop participants from across Sussex. A prominent patron of the charity is Sussex born recording artist Rag’n’Bone Man. More details from www.audioactive.org.uk

Rotary donates £4,000 from collection

Rotary Club of Storrington & Pulborough District collected in Old Mill Square and at the Book Stall in Place Villerest, Storrington on Saturday 11

February and local folk were very generous in giving over £4,000. They have sent send £1,350 each to: Shelterbox - providing tents and equipment to the homeless ; Disasters Emergency Committee - 15 leading charities providing humanitarian help; Rotary District Centres in Turkey - for generators, tents, winter clothes, nappies, hygienic pads, food, water and fuel as well as excavators and construction vehicles.

Charity vineyard run

Join a beautiful run and contribute to charity on Sunday 21st May and 24th September at Pulborough Vineyard. You can walk, run or jog and choose your distance on the day whilst enjoying the scenery. When you've finished enjoy your glass of wine and the views.
