SATURDAY 1

A Lanarkshire Fundraising Ceilidh is being held tonight, organised by the North Lanarkshire Action Group. Pray that it will be a fun time of fellowship and raise much-needed funding for the region.

SUNDAY 2

Jackie Ringan will be speaking at Lenzie Union Church of Scotland tomorrow afternoon. Pray for clear communication and for many to be encouraged about what they hear of the ministry of Scripture Union in Scotland and Ukraine.

The Finance Committee meets this month to review third quarter financial accounts and to consider the 2025–2026 budget. Pray for discernment; for Spirit-inspired alignment with the strategy; for an efficient process.

TUESDAY 4

Praise God for Caroline Boyers, Schools Ministry Coordinator, and for Bible Alive lessons and SU Groups that are happening in Clackmannanshire schools. Pray for Bible Alive training taking place tomorrow in Kirkintilloch and that God will raise up volunteers so that Bible Alive can run in new areas of the country.

WEDNESDAY 5

Give thanks for the dedicated SU Holiday and Mission Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders who gave up a weekend of their time to attend the Event Leadership Conference last month. Pray each one maintains a close walk with Jesus and that the Holy Spirit will lead, direct, and shape their events.

THURSDAY 6

Magnitude Worship Nights are taking place this weekend in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Approximately 800 young people will attend! Some may have been brought by Christian friends. Pray that each individual encounters God through worship and his Word.

FRIDAY 7

Cheri Young is leading a North East & Shetland Secondary Weekend at Alltnacriche, Susie Ford is leading a Dundee & Angus Secondary Weekend at Lendrick Muir, and Lynne Hamilton is leading a Primary Weekend for children in Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire & Inverclyde at Gowanbank. Pray for a moving of the Holy Spirit among them.

SATURDAY 8

Pray for a successful day of Emergency First Aid training for volunteers in New Olympia House, Glasgow.

Give thanks that the new SU Scotland website was launched in November. Pray for continuing work being done to solve problems and fix issues, and for productive working that will bring about solutions. Pray too for God’s protection over all our online systems.

SUNDAY 9

Give thanks for those who have already been accepted for Gap Year 2025–2026 who will be invited to the February Selection Day. Pray for discernment for Kirsten Thomson and Jackie Ringan as they interview them and seek God’s will for their future. Pray for guidance for others still considering applying.

MONDAY 10

A final week of training and preparation is happening at Alltnacriche ahead of school residentials restarting. Pray the week is effective in preparing the team and the centre to serve guests well. Give thanks for answered prayer! We were delighted to be able to appoint a new Schools Host to join the Schools Team at Lendrick Muir. Pray that Stuart Young, who started last month, settles in quickly and enjoys his new role.

TUESDAY 11

Give thanks for encouraging stories of God at work in young lives through the

ministry of KART in Kirkcaldy. Chris Beattie and volunteers will be leading an Activity Day tomorrow. Pray for lots of fun, listening ears, and growing understanding of who God is.

WEDNESDAY 12

Six young leaders aged between 18 and 23 have been leading an online weekly Senior Bible Study since last September. Since the group meets online, it has scope to grow! Pray that the S4–S6s attending will invite others to join, so that even more young people will engage with God’s word.

THURSDAY 13

Give thanks for the 11 volunteers who attended the November Cooks’ Training Day Part 1. Pray for confidence as they prepare to serve at SU Scotland events and put their newfound skills into practice.

Pray that Cooks and Assistant Cooks will book to attend Part 2: an inperson Allergy Awareness and Catering for Dietary Needs training day on 1 March in Glasgow.

FRIDAY 14

Pray for the children attending the Lanarkshire Primary Weekend at Lendrick Muir and the teenagers attending the Dumfries & Galloway Secondary Weekend at Gowanbank. Pray for

opportunities to share Jesus and that young lives will be transformed by the Holy Spirit.

SATURDAY 15

Give thanks for all those involved in producing SU Scotland’s new holiday club resource, A Tale of Two Kings. Pray that Mission Team Leaders and churches will find it easy to use and helpful in enabling children to explore the Bible and respond to the significance of Jesus. suscotland.org.uk/ resources

SUNDAY 16

Primary schools within the St Machar Academy catchment area will bring classes to The Mission in Aberdeen this week to walk through the story of Easter. Pray that the children engage fully with all their senses—listening, hearing, tasting, touching and smelling—and that it has a lasting impact.

MONDAY 17

Give thanks for a new series of Bible Shorts, a YouTube series featuring SU Scotland staff and volunteers speaking about faith and the Bible. Pray for a wide reach online as we feed clips from the series into TikTok and Instagram and that these will speak directly to many young people, causing them to think.

TUESDAY 18

Glasgow City Mission are bringing some young people to Gowanbank for two days to participate in activities and explore the Bible. Pray that they will be blessed by their time at the centre, feel valued, and come to know they are loved by Almighty God.

WEDNESDAY 19

We give thanks for school bookings at our centres. Pray for the children from Whitehills Primary who might be nervous about coming to their residential at Alltnacriche today until Friday—and for the parents who will entrust them to SU Scotland’s care. Pray for a positive experience for all. Pray for the SU Scotland Board, who will meet tomorrow on Zoom.

THURSDAY 20

Basecamp begins tomorrow at Gowanbank, led by Alan Myles and Susie Ford, training young people aged 16+ who desire to become trainee leaders. Give thanks for God at work in the lives of every young person attending. Pray that there will be an overflow of love for one another and for God, as well as great practical training!

FRIDAY 21

Lesley Crawford and Heather Merriman are leading the Edinburgh Primary and Secondary Weekends at

Lendrick Muir. Cheri Young is leading a rescheduled North East & Shetland Secondary Weekend, which was cancelled due to snow! Pray for fun and safety and growing faith and trust in God.

SATURDAY 22

Give thanks and pray for the SU Holidays Facilities Coordinator, Gary Pews. A lot of upgrades are underway at our campsites (Kingscross and Scoughall) to make them as userfriendly as possible for both internal and external groups. Pray for Gary as he oversees these projects.

SUNDAY 23

Give thanks for the small team of staff, volunteers and freelancers who filmed our new Explore Easter resource and for the young actors who feature in it: children Nathan and Maria, two drama students, and Hyelsinta, our ‘mini professor’, aged 10! Pray that the resources will be well used and plant seeds of faith in children’s hearts.

MONDAY 24

Some individuals have been nominated by their Event Team Leader to be trained in Archery Tag tomorrow morning at Lendrick Muir. Pray they learn well and leave equipped to deliver engaging, fun sessions for young people.

TUESDAY 25

Milne’s Primary School (Fochabers) are at Alltnacriche until Friday. Give thanks for our staff who will be involved in making their stay enjoyable—those who will host, deliver activities, cook and clean.

WEDNESDAY 26

Give thanks for Rev Laura Digan from Whiteinch Parish Church who has stepped up to help sustain Wheel Trust ministry in Hyndland Secondary, Glasgow. Pray for an ongoing excellent working relationship with the school management. The International Committee meets tonight. Pray for guidance in discussions, clarity in decision-making, wisdom in allocating resources and a shared sense of purpose among all involved.

THURSDAY 27

Pray for Team Leaders who are recruiting team members for Easter and summer SU Holidays. Pray they will be blessed with volunteers who are willing and able to serve as Assistant Team Leaders, Chief Cooks, Assistant Cooks, Group Leaders, Minibus Drivers and Travel Leaders.

FRIDAY 28

Pray for the young people who will gather for Equip East, West and North tonight; for

good discussions and encouragement as they seek to go deeper in their faith. Pray they will grow in confidence to declare themselves as Christians before others at school.

SATURDAY 1

Associate Trusts like the Reachout Trust and the Wheel Trust will be delivering many Easter workshops in primary schools this month, as will churches across the country. Pray for children to grasp who Jesus is.

SUNDAY 2

Riverside Church in Ayr are hosting a Magnitude Worship Night. Give thanks for this opportunity to draw young people together from across Ayrshire and beyond, to consider the magnitude of God and meet with him. Pray that those who don’t know him would encounter him tonight!

MONDAY 3

The Residentials Committee meets tonight, and the SU Scotland Board meets on 20 March to review and approve the 2025-2026 budget. Pray for a clear sense of God’s leading and for confident faith in his provision for the next financial year. Pray that God will also supply our need for staff, as centres recruit for

interns and Trainee Activity Instructors this month.

TUESDAY 4

Work Parties will be happening this month to get our campsites at Kingscross and Scoughall ready for the holiday season, having been closed since October. Pray that volunteers might want to join these, having fun cleaning and performing practical tasks!

WEDNESDAY 5

We would love to see as many spaces filled on our SU Holidays over Easter as possible. Pray that those who received printed brochures back in December will make every effort to share them with family, friends and peers, even in unlikely places!

THURSDAY 6

The Holiday Sponsorship Fund launches soon, enabling children and young people to have a life-changing experience at an SU Holiday or Weekend—an opportunity they otherwise could not afford. Please pray for a generous response from supporters for this appeal.

Cameron Swinton and Carol Baird are leading a large P5–S6 Dunbartonshire &

Helensburgh Weekend. Pray for trust between Group Leaders and young people that will lead to honest conversations about faith, and that some will commit to following Jesus.

SATURDAY 8

Give thanks for weekend bookings at Alltnacriche and the opportunities they create for sharing the good news of Jesus. Pray for the young people from Perth Baptist who are there this weekend, and those from Banchory Rock & Youth Group who will arrive next Friday.

SUNDAY 9

Give thanks for those who have signed up for the SU Scotland 2025-2026 Gap Year starting in August. Pray for Kirsten Thomson as she seeks to plan their placements and organise the practicalities. One particular prayer request is that we will be able to find host families for those who are moving away from home for their placement.

MONDAY 10

Interviews for the post of Young Leaders’ Development Lead were taking place as the Prayer Diary was being produced. SU Team Leader Alan Scott has been appointed! Pray that Alan will know the Lord’s equipping and will bear much fruit for him.

TUESDAY 11

Andrew Stothard, Digital Youth Work Lead, is in discussion with Associate Trusts about piloting new ideas using technology to reach young people. Please pray for clarity and direction. Pray for final preparations for a Fundraising Dinner taking place in Aberdeen on Saturday. Pray that what is shared will glorify God, inspire new supporters, and raise much-needed funds.

WEDNESDAY 12

Give thanks for answered prayer: Mission Task Groups are up and running well, with committed volunteers. Each group has a lot to work on. Pray for progress, and for continuing direction for Bruce Lockhart, Missions Development Manager.

THURSDAY 13

Give thanks for the Pupil Leaders who have helped new SU Groups get off the ground in recent months in Douglas Academy (East Dunbartonshire) and Chryston High (North Lanarkshire). Pray for encouragement and spiritual growth.

FRIDAY 14

St George’s Tron Church are spending the weekend at Gowanbank and a group of Free Church Youth are at Alltnacriche. Give thanks for church bookings like these and pray that the sense of God’s presence

at our centres will foster fellowship and growth.

SATURDAY 15

We are organising 10 SU Holidays at Easter. Pray for Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders as they prepare teaching and activities and allocate young people to groups and dorms; pray for Chief Cooks as they plan menus and order food.

SUNDAY 16

This year’s SU International Appeal will be for SU Hungary. Pray that resources prepared will resonate with children and young people at Easter events and that they will give generously to support the youth of Hungary.

MONDAY 17

Tim Raynes spends a day a week in Merkinch Primary, Inverness. Some Merkinch pupils will be at Alltnacriche today. Pray they will be moved by the love, care and compassion of our centre staff. Pray this too for the pupils of St Sylvester’s RC Primary, who will arrive tomorrow from Moray for three nights.

TUESDAY 18

Participants in the Mission & Residential Leadership Course will deliver 10-minute presentations on Zoom on Thursday. Pray for God’s equipping as they spend time

preparing and that these new Team Leaders will encourage one another.

WEDNESDAY 19

Give thanks for volunteers who give their time and talents to serve on the SU Scotland Board. Pray for wisdom and clear thinking as they meet in New Olympia House tomorrow, and that decisions will align with God’s will.

THURSDAY 20

Give thanks for every volunteer who will be serving God on an Easter SU Holiday team. Around this time there are always shortages of Assistant Cooks, male and female Group Leaders. Pray that God will call people to fill the gaps.

FRIDAY 21

Angela McDonald and team are welcoming P5–S6s to Lendrick Muir for their Strathkelvin Weekend. Give thanks for the young people, attending from Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch and Lenzie. Pray they have lots of fun and make fresh discoveries about Jesus and the Bible.

SATURDAY 22

Give thanks for new SU Groups which started in the autumn in Carrick Knowe Primary and Brunstane Primary, Edinburgh, and for the volunteers who

came forward to lead them. A new SU Group also started in January at Thornliebank Primary, East Renfrewshire. Pray that all new groups across the country will flourish.

SUNDAY 23

Give thanks for all those who are trained to deliver Bible Alive, and for lessons running in schools where Bible Alive has not been delivered before. Pray for Valerie Sim, Bible Alive Development Coordinator, and that this ministry will continue to grow and expand into all areas of Scotland.

MONDAY 24

Pray for Scripture Union's ministry in Belarus, Ukraine, and the restricted country we support in prayer, giving thanks for the resilience and perseverance of staff and volunteers in the face of attacks, power cuts, poverty, threat and financial challenges. Pray for God’s strength.

TUESDAY 25

Junction 12 has been delivering weekly Seasons for Growth and Nurture Groups in Smithycroft Secondary which have been well received by pupils. Pray for their one-to-one work. Give thanks for a strengthening of relationships and pray into the challenges of disengagement and poor attendance.

WEDNESDAY 26

The Leadership Team meet on Thursdays. Pray for Robin, Jackie, Paul, Mike, Zonya and Jenny and the departments they oversee. May the Lord make their love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, and may he strengthen their hearts (1 Thessalonians 3:12–13).

THURSDAY 27

Pray for the team of Regional Workers and volunteers who lead Spotlight and Equip East and West as they prepare for tomorrow night’s events. Pray that the speakers will share God’s Word well, and that there will also be lots of fun and banter!

FRIDAY 28

The Greater Glasgow SU Scotland Secondary Weekend is happening at Gowanbank, led by Craig Morris, and a Motiv8 Primary Weekend is happening at Lendrick Muir, led by Tim Raynes. Pray for God’s presence to be felt from the minute the young people arrive; for the breaking down of divisions and barriers; for the light of Jesus to shine into every young heart.

SATURDAY 29

SU Holidays begin next weekend! We are engaged in spiritual warfare and many Team Leaders and volunteers may feel things coming against

them in the coming week or two. Pray they will be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power and put on the full armour of God (Ephesians 6).

SUNDAY 30

Give thanks that the Westside Youth Project in Inverness launched in the autumn as an SU Scotland Associate Trust, with Anne Gunn as their Schools & Families Worker. Pray for God’s blessing upon Anne, and for good relationships with colleagues, supporters, families and young people.

MONDAY 31

This is the last week of term in many Scottish schools. Give thanks for the opportunities God has given SU Scotland this past term to share the good news of Jesus and help children and young people explore the Bible. Pray that God will water the seed of his Word and in time, produce much fruit.

TUESDAY 1

Pray that new supporters will see the value of our vision for children and young people and feel moved to partner with us. Pray that each donation will be used to help us light up Scotland, one young life at a time, and that those who

give may experience joy and fulfilment, knowing they are part of this mission.

WEDNESDAY 2

Give thanks to God for the wonderful way he is bringing people together to pray for schools. Over 60 ministry hubs were in place at the time of writing, bringing together local people to pray for their high school and associated primaries. Pray for more!

THURSDAY 3

The Wheel Trust AGM takes place this month in Glasgow. Give thanks for four new trustees who have joined the Management Team. Pray for wisdom as they review and report on the financial position of the trust for 2024 and guide progress in 2025.

FRIDAY 4

Our first Easter SU Holiday event begins tomorrow, which is the Snowsports Holiday for S2–S6s. Pray for God’s protection on the long journey to Austria and on the slopes when they arrive. Pray that relationships will deepen between individuals, and between individuals and God.

SATURDAY 5

Food is a key element of an SU Holiday. Catering for a huge range of dietary needs is challenging! Pray that our volunteer Cooks and

Assistant Cooks will count it a joy to cook for children, young people and hungry team members, and that the food they provide will be sufficient and appreciated.

SUNDAY 6

Jenny Cheung is leading a P5–S1 Voice Camp at Gowanbank from today until Friday. Pray for fun in choir singing, musical theatre, song writing and outdoor activities, and that those who know little or nothing of Jesus will make new discoveries about him.

MONDAY 7

Three separate SU Holidays begin today at Lendrick Muir. Elaine Watt is leading a primary event, Gavin Thomson a secondary event, and Colin Carmichael a Study Camp. Give thanks for these Team Leaders and their teams who are committed to spending time with young people and helping them explore the Bible. Pray for God to be at work.

TUESDAY 8

The SU Holidays strapline is ‘You Belong Here’. Pray that this might be true for each child and young person attending an Easter holiday this year. Pray they will have a fantastic time, make new friends, see Jesus in the team members, and encounter him through his Word, deepening their faith.

WEDNESDAY 9

Give thanks for weekly clubs happening in villages around Pereyaslav, Ukraine. Pray for the leaders as they prepare Easter programmes and family events that will bring opportunities to share the good news of Jesus. Pray for responsive hearts.

THURSDAY 10

Pray for Tim Raynes, Ministry at the Margins Lead, as he continues to seek God’s will concerning new projects in priority areas that will lead to fresh opportunities to shine light into the darkness. This is budget season. pray for Susan, Sarah, and Steve in our Finance Department as they prepare year-end accounts, asking for wisdom, clarity, accuracy and attention to detail, as well as a smooth process leading to timely completion.

FRIDAY 11

Give thanks for the senior pupils who have chosen an SU Scotland Study Holiday. Pray for those leaving STUDY1 tomorrow and pray for those arriving for STUDY2, led by Susie Ford. Pray for trust in God as they approach exams, and that they will leave their holiday feeling better equipped for them.

SATURDAY 12

Heather Merriman is leading a holiday at Alltnacriche for P5–S4s from across

the country. Give thanks for returners and pray for newbies for whom this is their first SU Holiday. Pray for a powerful sense of being God’s family.

SUNDAY 13

SU Scotland's online ministry continues to reach young people through TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Pray that the Lord will bring feeds to the attention of teenagers during the Easter school holidays and that they will be drawn to find out more.

MONDAY 14

SU Scotland’s vision is to see every child and young person in Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus, yet children who engage with SU Missions mostly have a church connection or know someone who does. Pray for Bruce Lockhart as he considers missional opportunities to reach those whose first response would be, ‘What is church?’

TUESDAY 15

Phil Todd and Angela McDonald are leading a CentreStage Drama Holiday for P5–S2s. Pray for an exciting week! Some of the team are performers working professionally in theatre and film. Give thanks for their willingness to get alongside young people and help them discover their God-given talents.

WEDNESDAY 16

Bruce Lockhart is leading a three-night multi-activity SU Holiday at Lendrick Muir. Pray that the P5–S4s arriving today quickly settle and that these three days will be their best holiday ever! Pray for meaningful steps forward in faith for each of the young people.

THURSDAY 17

Staff at Ferrywell in Edinburgh will be preparing for another busy term of work. Pray for John, Erin, Jane, Phil and Peter: for good teamwork and practical support of one another in their different roles, and for wisdom and compassion for the priority young people they work with.

FRIDAY 18

Give thanks for Pupil Leaders and SU Group Leaders in the region where you live. Pray they will feel refreshed after the Easter holidays and be encouraged to see God at work in the lives of the young people in their groups this coming term.

SATURDAY 19

Give thanks for the SU Scotland staff team. Pray for the wellbeing of each individual, giving thanks that God knows each person’s worries, stresses and concerns. Pray that colleagues will be good at looking out for one another.

SUNDAY 20

Happy Easter! Give thanks for Jesus, our Saviour—his life, death, and resurrection, and for the hope of eternal life. Pray for young people today who are struggling to accept Jesus’ deep love for them and are doubting the truth of what they hear at SU Scotland events.

MONDAY 21

John Pizzuto-Pomaco and Ewan Cairns are now entering the third term of their Gap Year. Pray for faith, energy, courage, protection and closeness to God. Pray that the Lord will continue to teach them new things and give them spiritual gifts to serve him well.

TUESDAY 22

Pray for the Magnitude team as they meet to continue planning this summer's festival. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance and direction in decisionmaking, and that God’s favour will be on them in the practical details involved.

WEDNESDAY 23

Pray for Equip speakers as they prepare for Friday night: Zonya Bewick will speak on ‘Dealing with the Unknown’ at Equip Dundee; Steve Osmond of Solas will address ‘Why does God allow suffering?’ at Equip West in Glasgow, and Erin Burnett ‘Neurodiversity and Faith’ at Equip East in Edinburgh.

THURSDAY 24

Pray for unity and a sense of God’s presence at the Board meeting tonight on Zoom. Archery Tag is a popular activity for young people at residential SU Weekends and SU Holidays. Pray for successful outcomes for those who will receive training in archery tag on Saturday at Lendrick Muir.

FRIDAY 25

Children will be picked up by bus at Irvine, Ayr and Kilmarnock this evening to travel to Lendrick Muir for the Ayrshire Primary Weekend, where Julie Bain is Team Leader. Give thanks for this opportunity for a fun-filled weekend exploring the Bible; pray that it will be memorable for the children.

SATURDAY 26

A Bethany Family Day is happening at Gowanbank. Pray for a good day out for all the families attending and that it will be a day of bonding and experiencing the love of God in a tangible way.

SUNDAY 27

Pray for Regional Workers and other SU Scotland staff as they visit churches and church groups across the country. Pray for faithful sharing of God’s Word and SU Scotland’s strategy, and that many who hear of our ministry for the first time will want to be part of it.

MONDAY 28

As Event Reports come back from Team Leaders of Easter events, we are excited to see the impact these holidays have had on children and young people. Residentials change lives! Pray that Easter campers will continue to connect with SU Scotland by booking for a summer holiday or linking in with an SU Group or church.

TUESDAY 29

Pray for continuing protection over Scripture Union's work in Ukraine, Belarus and the restricted country we pray for in Asia. Pray for wisdom as they prayerfully plan camps this summer, and that God will provide the team members required to run them.

WEDNESDAY 30

Jacob Ingleson began work last autumn as SU Scotland Associate Worker at Growing Young Cairnlea, a new Associate Trust sharing the love of Jesus with young people in Airdrie and its environs. Give thanks that God has called Jacob into this role and pray for God’s anointing on his ministry.

THURSDAY 1

Tamas Daxner of SU Hungary will be working with church leaders to plan summer camps. Pray for able Team

Leaders; for progress with writing the daily programme; for accommodation for our Gap Year team. Pray too for John and Ewan as they prepare for their trip in July.

FRIDAY 2

Lots of weekend events are involving lots of children and young people! Pray for the Holy Spirit to be very much at work at the North East & Shetland Primary Weekend at Alltnacriche (led by Cheri Young); the Dundee & Angus Primary Weekend at Lendrick Muir (led by Susie Ford); the Glasgow Primary Weekend at Gowanbank (led by Craig Morris).

SATURDAY 3

Pray for God’s anointing on Tim Raynes and his team at Scoughall as they run a Motiv8 weekend for young people at the margins. Pray for the fruit of the Spirit to be seen in each team member, and that the young people will be responsive to what they hear of Jesus.

SUNDAY 4

MONDAY 5

We are seeking to bring light in the darkness of online spaces. Two short clips from our Bible Shorts series are put out on TikTok every week. Pray that these will interrupt feeds, ‘stop the scroll’ and grab the attention of young people. Each clip is part of a longer video they can watch on YouTube, exploring how Jesus speaks into all areas of our life.

TUESDAY 6

Regional and Associate Workers will be travelling from across the country to Blackford, Perthshire, tomorrow, for training, prayer and fellowship at their Local Ministries Staff Day. Pray for a sense of God moving among them.

WEDNESDAY 7

Give thanks for a growing number of Pupil Leaders across the country. Pray for wisdom and equipping and that they will feel supported in what they are doing by SU Scotland and their church family. Pray for young people to see, and apply for, Pupil Leader training currently being advertised for June.

Give thanks for the children from various SU Groups and churches who will be at Alltnacriche for the SU Scotland Perth, Kinross & Fife Primary Weekend, led by Roy Osborne. Pray for excitement at being together, trying new activities, and exploring the Bible.

SATURDAY 10

Preparations are underway for three brand-new SU Holidays this summer: Golf, Media (content creating) and Codes (coding). Pray for good teamwork and planning and that these events will successfully engage young people in a new way.

SUNDAY 11

We give thanks for completed research and data provided which focused on social issues facing young people within priority communities across Glasgow. We advertised for a Development Worker earlier this year—pray for the successful candidate who will relationally map a handful of these communities to bring SU Scotland a deeper understanding of them and the challenges they face.

MONDAY 12

Pray for SU Groups running across the country. Pray that God will shine his light into the hearts of children and young people who started the year disbelieving that God exists, and that they will find their many searching questions being answered as they explore the Bible in their group.

TUESDAY 13

SU Scotland Holidays Administrator, Rebeka McCaw, is going on honeymoon! Pray she has a wonderful time. The team will be one short. Give thanks and pray for Kayleigh Clark, Bookings Administrator, as she seeks to manage the workload.

WEDNESDAY 14

Give thanks for new SU Holiday and Mission Leaders as they prepare to lead for the first time this summer. Pray that they find the challenge exciting, and that God will bring alongside them the Assistant Team Leaders and team members they need.

THURSDAY 15

The Big Beach Weekend will be taking place at Scoughall for P5–S3s from Edinburgh. Pray for fresh discoveries about God as young people explore the Bible together, and for God’s smile upon the weather so that they can enjoy fun on the beach!

FRIDAY 16

Derek Harley and John Allan are at Lendrick Muir leading a weekend for P5–P7s from East and Midlothian and Borders, and Owain Evans is at High Barbuchany leading a Dumfries & Galloway Primary Weekend. Give thanks for every child attending; pray that they feel valued, loved and cared for.

SATURDAY 17

Colin Carmichael is leading a Primary Weekend at Alltnacriche for children from across the Highlands and Jenny Cheung is leading the first Voice Project Weekend of the year at Gowanbank. Pray for God’s blessing on them, and on the centres who support and enable residential ministry.

SUNDAY 18

Elaine Tait, ASN Development Coordinator, has been training staff and volunteers these past months and

creating bags of fidget toys for use at Weekends and Holidays. Pray that these will be well used by Team Leaders and will bless the young people who use them.

MONDAY 19

Those who are looking to start a gap year with SU Scotland in August will be fundraising and preparing for it. Pray that God will amply provide for them! Pray too for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as John and Ewan seek God for what comes next.

TUESDAY 20

Motiv8 holidays are advertised locally to priority young people by youth projects working in partnership with SU Holidays. Pray for invitations that are going out to parents—that forms will be filled in correctly and returned on time, and that young people will commit to come.

in the City this summer. Pray she has insight and wisdom as she encourages and brings together and prepares her team, which will be composed of local youth workers and volunteers.

THURSDAY 22

On Thursdays Oksana Khimich leads 8.00am and 5.00pm prayers for Ukraine and SU International on Zoom. Give thanks for this opportunity for Scottish supporters to partner with Open Bible in their work, and for the encouragement this brings to Oksana and Grigori. Pray that others will join them.

FRIDAY 23

Give thanks for the friendship, fun and discipleship that Connect Groups bring to young people. Pray that Team Leaders will encourage senior pupils to consider joining a Connect Group after their event.

SATURDAY 24

A two-day course is running at Lendrick Muir, focused on training volunteers to deliver engaging introductory archery sessions. Day 2 is for those revalidating their training. Pray for good learning and quality fellowship.

SUNDAY 25

Pray for Bruce Lockhart as he works with churches and

Mission Team Leaders to bring about a programme of missions this summer. Give thanks for missions that are well-established; pray for new missions that are currently being discussed and planned, and that Team Leaders will be found for each one.

MONDAY 26

Give thanks and pray for energy and enthusiasm for centre staff who are involved in preparing for and delivering school residentials this week. Albyn Primary pupils from Aberdeen are at Alltnacriche and Cathedral Primary children from Motherwell will arrive at Lendrick Muir tomorrow.

TUESDAY 27

Give thanks for the hundreds of volunteers who are getting ready to serve at SU events this summer. Pray for Janice, Alastair and Fiona in the busyness of processing their applications. Pray for smooth admin: that applications will be submitted in a timely manner and that systems will work!

WEDNESDAY 28

Various Team Leaders are preparing for the two Basecamps and LeadUP training events which will run in June as part of SU Scotland’s COmMISSION

programme. Pray they will know the Lord’s anointing as they plan seminars and prepare to lead groups of young people.

THURSDAY 29

The Dundee Connect Group meets tomorrow night. Pray for its leaders: Amy and Scott lead the S1–S3 group, and Matthew and Eilish the S4–S6. Pray too for Equip East and Equip West tomorrow night in Edinburgh and Glasgow, asking that God will use all these events to mature young people in faith.

FRIDAY 30

Give thanks for the SU Holidays Sponsorship Fund and for how many families it supports, making it possible for their child or children to have an SU Holiday. Pray that SU supporters, volunteers and staff may be proactive in directing parents towards this financial help, particularly if the cost-ofliving crisis is preventing them from making a booking.

SATURDAY 31

A Junction Church Ladies’ Weekend is happening at Alltnacriche. Pray for a sense of God in the midst, and for opportunities to encourage and minister to one another. Praise God for SU Scotland’s centres and their facilities, which bring blessing to many!
