Thank you for fueling Jewish life in Cincinnati, Israel, and throughout the world through the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. The Federation seeks to be the heart of Jewish Cincinnati—working together with volunteer leaders, organizations, congregations, and schools to enhance belonging, take on big problems, and address critical community priorities.

In 2010, our community set an audacious goal—to build a more engaged, inclusive, and vibrant Jewish community by the year 2020. In its simplest form, “More Jews, More Engaged.”

With your support and participation, we have been there to build and strengthen the Mayerson JCC and the Jewish Family Service Barbash Family Vital Support Center and the Heldman Family Food Pantry, Shared Business Services, SAFE Cincinnati, and Cincy Internships. We coordinated the 2016 Congregation and Community Mission, which gave over 500 of us meaningful Israel experiences.

As we near 2020 and think about the challenges ahead, our goal remains to create a place where our community members thrive, feel at home and empowered, and where we are proud of the ways we care for each other. Starting tonight, we invite you to help us map the way to advance this goal for 2030.

CREATE YOUR JEWISH LEGACY (CYJL)

An endowment or legacy gift is a gift made during one’s lifetime or in the future, given through a will, retirement fund, life insurance or other form of designation to sustain the Jewish community in Cincinnati. It is a decision that each person makes in their own financial planning process, taking into account their charitable wishes and values.

CYJL is our community-wide initiative to increase the endowments of agencies and congregations throughout the Cincinnati Jewish community.

The program began in 2014.

ABRAHAM MOSS SOCIETY The Abraham Moss Society recognizes community members whose gifts will remain in perpetuity, leaving an endowment of $250,000 or above to any of the Jewish agencies, congregations, or organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area.

LION OF JUDAH ENDOWMENT The Lion of Judah Endowment recognizes Lion of Judah members whose gifts will remain in perpetuity, leaving an endowment of $100,000 or greater to the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.

LETTER OF INTENTION (LOI) An LOI is a statement indicating that a donor intends to make a legacy gift through their will, retirement account, life insurance or other form of designation to an organization(s) within our community.
