Introduction and Goals for "The NSPS Bulletin"
INTRODUCTION AND GOALS FOR "SURVEYOR SAYS ! THE NSPS BULLETIN"

... yet providing timely and useful content.
News from surveying and geospatial world happens literally every day, so the staff at NSPS are committed to providing our profession with news and information through our social media and web page channels as it happens.
We do, however, want to provide our profession with regular source of news, stories, and useful information of things happening in our geospatial environment. From licensing and certification announcements to significant new stories within the profession, look to "Surveyor Says! The NSPS Bulletin" for your source of professional society news every quarter, with special editions published as needed.
Reimagining past platforms...
From its inception in 1961 until it ceased publication in 2012, the "ACSM Bulletin" provided a variety of content to all aspects of the surveying and mapping community. From boundary retracement procedures and issues to GPS/GNSS and GIS technologies, the Bulletin contained a range of topics to satisfy the informational desires of our data hungry profession.
Surveyors and geospatialists now practice in a more exclusively digital environment, so resurrecting the "Bulletin" will mean a significant change. No longer will be the expense of print copies and postage, as it will be through announcements of new digital issues via email and social media postings. Issues will also not be exclusive to NSPS members, as we are seeking a wider distribution to all surveyors, geospatialists, and future practioners.
"Progress is impossible without change; and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.
George Bernard Shaw
