For Him
NEWS FOR HIM WHAT'S TRENDING... SUSTAINABLE FASHION
Currently on the US leg of his tour, Harry Styles has been championing the sustainable fashion movement by donning two brands of ethical and sustainable fashion whilst being pictured out in NYC.
Harry, 27, loves to lead the pack where men’s style trends are concerned and his fashion choices are carefully calculated by stylists (with his input apparently) to both shock and make headlines in the world of fashion. This is the man that wore a sequin dress on the front cover of Vogue!
By being snapped wearing this bright neon pink hoodie from Pangaia and navy blue Vuori shorts at the same time - he is sending a clear message to his fashion followers to think about ethical fashion.
Pangaia was born in 2018 and has made the art of making ethical clothing a science in itself. Their main product range like this ‘Harry Hoodie’ is crafted from 60% saltwater seaweed and

40% organic cotton. Their flower infused puffa jackets were 10 years in development and are literally made from dried flowers! Pangaia now has a flock of high-profile celebrity followers including Styles, the Kardashians and Justin and Hailey Beiber.
Harry’s Vuori running shorts are made from a 50% repreve polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles and econyl nylon which was crafted from upcycled nylon fishing nets and other sea waste. The brand is based out of California but sold globally. His recent New York shopping trip is not the first time Harry has promoted ethical fashion. He is a huge fan of 100% ethical fashion brand Bode and regularly re-wears this collection. For his “Golden” music video he chose to wear floral trousers

and a white shirt from Stephen Stokey Daley’s sustainable fashion label.
Whether you are a fan of Harry Styles or not – at least he is using his huge platform to promote such good ethical fashion causes. According to Ecothes, the fashion industry is the third most polluting industry in the world accounting for 8.1% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. A large amount of waste happens at both the production stage, as our clothes are made, and the consumer stage, as we throw away or overly wash our clothes. 60% of millennials surveyed by Ecothes said they wanted to only buy from ethical/sustainable sources. If you like the moral message and Harry’s style; these tracksuits are available from www.thepangaia.com from a reasonable £67 for a sweatshirt to £137 for a hoodie in a range of colourways.
Similarly, Vuori’s range of ethical clothing is not breaking the bank balance either so you can get Harry’s shorts for £60 or a jacket for £190 from www.vuoriclothing.com.
