RISE BUILDING PRODUCTS - FOUNDED IN MANKATO, MN
RISE: A LEGACY OF STRENGTH, SUSTAINABILITY, AND SMART DESIGN
Saint-Gobain, through its CertainTeed Siding division, has acquired RISE Building Products, an innovative U.S. manufacturer of composite cladding made from recycled materials. This move follows a successful joint venture between the two companies launched in early 2024 and expands CertainTeed’s presence into the fast-growing hardboard cladding market.
The acquisition complements CertainTeed’s leadership in vinyl siding and builds on Saint-Gobain’s “Grow and Impact” strategy, which focuses on entering high-growth segments such as synthetic wood replacement and composite cladding products.
RISE’s patented manufacturing technology enhances siding production by utilizing 94% recycled synthetic content from post-consumer and post-industrial waste, including fibers and fiberglass scraps from CertainTeed’s own insulation plants. This sustainable approach strengthens Saint-Gobain’s commitment to light and sustainable construction, circularity, and reducing waste in the built environment. RISE will continue operating from its base in Mankato, Minnesota, with its 35 employees joining the CertainTeed Siding team, ensuring continuity and expertise within the business.

AND 20’ TOLKO ZINC BORATE TREATED LSL SILL PLATE FROM SPRENGER MIDWEST
These ZB (Zinc Borate) treated products are approved for use as defined in AWPA U1, Use Category UC2. ZB treatment protects the product from termites and fungal decay without compromising structural integrity or consistency of the product. Each piece of Zinc Borate treated 1.35e T-TEC LSL is individually edge sealed in red for easy identification after installation.
Although they may have many uses, a primary application for these items will be for bottom-plate material due to their superior compression strength and dimensional stability –compared to solid wood options.

Only the best raw materials are used in Diamond K Posts and we start with #1 Southern Pine lumber for both treated and untreated portions of the column. The bottom treated part of the column is protected against rot, decay and insect damage (.60 CCA).
