Wood fiber-based materials have a unique look and feel that have appealed to architects, building professionals, and homeowners for centuries. However, the durability of these materials are negatively impacted by nearly all climates, whether humid or dry, or cold or hot.
RISE Siding and RISE Trim are also manufactured using a fibrous-based technology – RISE® Technology – however, the synthetic fiber-based technology we use makes our wood replacement products look and feel just like real wood. They're also:
Stronger than products made from non-fibrous materials, including wood flour, silica dust and extruded plastics.
More capable of holding up under all weather conditions, including high moisture and severe freeze/thaw conditions, because, like plastic, they will outperform wood, wood flour and silicabased products.

NEW! Finger-Jointed Laminated Columns
By Diamond K Posts
Glued with Waterproof Glue Engineered by Timber Tech
Made with #1 KD Southern Yellow Pine .60 CCAKDAT on lower end with a 50-yr warranty on treatment.
Only the best raw materials are used in Diamond K Posts and we start with #1 Southern Pine lumber for both treated and untreated portions of the column. The bottom treated part of the column is protected against rot, decay and insect damage (.60 CCA).
SPECIALTY STRUCTURAL FRAMING COLUMNS
Individual plys have more complete treating than larger solids. Straighter, stronger and lighter columns greatly reduce labor cost in field as well as eliminate call backs. Posts won't crack or split and are of uniform dimensions with lumber planned to specific sizes
Untreated portion on upper end eliminate the need for hot-dipped, galvanized nails. Longer lengths available in a minimal amount of time from placement of order.
Individual plys can be notched for a superior truss bearing connection.
Adhesive between plys greatly cut down on interior layer slip resulting in better weak-axis stiffness.
prenger Midwest is pleased to share that our very own Scott Lawyer has received the Salesman of the Year award from the SD Retail Lumberman’s Association at the recent Tri-State convention of building materials suppliers held in Sioux Falls SD on Feb 11th and 12th. This award is in recognition of Scott’s high-level of enthusiasm in his promotion of his products, his company and our industry. He has been with Sprenger Midwest for 31 years, including the past 25 of those as a Senior Territory Sales Manager, traveling to see accounts spread throughout South Dakota and Minnesota.
Scott Lawyer began his career in the lumber and building materials industry as after-school and summer part-time help in 1975 for Robinson Lumber in Sioux Falls SD. Upon high school graduation in 1977, he went to work for Georgia Pacific distribution as a yard employee, eventually working his way up to second-shift supervisor. In 1984, he joined Holmes and Hudson (building products) in a similar role. He stayed in that capacity until 1989 when they were purchased by API and he was promoted into inside sales where he stayed until 1994. That year, he went to work for Sprenger Midwest, spending the first 6 years of his career as an inside sales representative, calling on customers in SD, MN and IA.
In 2000, Scott got the opportunity for his “dream” job when Sprenger Midwest expanded their team to include outside sales members, and was promoted into one of these positions, where he remains to this day, calling on lumber dealers and industrial customers. To know Scott is to understand that he brings a passion to his work and truly cares about his customers (and theirs) and tries to do all he can to ensure that they have a positive experience with the products he promotes. Scott’s “aw shucks”, plain-spoken, folksy-style of doing business is one that puts those he works with at ease and reassures them that he wants to partner with them for everyone’s mutual benefit.
We’re happy for Scott to have been recognized by the associations membership and board of directors for his quality and years of service to the marketplace. He’s a humble man that doesn’t look for recognition or credit, but rather takes his satisfaction from happy customers and job well done. That said, please feel free to congratulate him the next time you see him. We’re sure he’ll appreciate the kind words.
