NEW Synthetic fiber-based Technology
Wood fiber-based materials have a unique look and feel that have appealed to architects, building professionals, and homeowners for centuries. However, the durability of these materials are negatively impacted by nearly all climates, whether humid or dry, or cold or hot.
RISE Siding and RISE Trim are also manufactured using a fibrous-based technology – RISE® Technology – however, the synthetic fiber-based technology we use makes our wood replacement products look and feel just like real wood. They're also:
Stronger than products made from non-fibrous materials, including wood flour, silica dust and extruded plastics.
More capable of holding up under all weather conditions, including high moisture and severe freeze/thaw conditions, because, like plastic, they will outperform wood, wood flour and silicabased products.

AND 20’ TOLKO ZINC BORATE TREATED LSL SILL PLATE FROM SPRENGER MIDWEST
These ZB (Zinc Borate) treated products are approved for use as defined in AWPA U1, Use Category UC2. ZB treatment protects the product from termites and fungal decay without compromising structural integrity or consistency of the product. Each piece of Zinc Borate treated 1.35e T-TEC LSL is individually edge sealed in red for easy identification after installation.
Although they may have many uses, a primary application for these items will be for bottom-plate material due to their superior compression strength and dimensional stability –compared to solid wood options.
MILL MONTH OF THE FEATURED
WEST FRASER: A PROUD HERITAGE
West Fraser was founded seventy years ago by Sam, Bill, and Pete Ketcham, along with a team of pioneering employees. What began as a 12-person operation has grown into one of the world’s largest producers of softwood lumber and wood products.
Despite its growth, the company remains grounded in the values, goals, and strategies set by its founders. These
enduring principles continue to guide West Fraser as it looks toward a sustainable and promising future.
In 1955, the Ketcham brothers bought Two Mile Planing Mills in Quesnel, B.C. Over the next decades, they expanded rapidly—acquiring Wright Lumber (1957), renaming it West Fraser (1958), securing timber sources (1961), and making major acquisitions like Brownmiller Brothers (1963).
West Fraser went global in 2021 by acquiring Norbord, adding 17 mills across the U K and Europe The move expanded its reach and made it a top global producer of both lumber and OSB.
Diversification and Innovation
From the late 1960s, West Fraser grew its manufacturing base and entered pulp production with a joint venture in 1979. This integration allowed utilization of wood chips and diversified revenue streams. The firm also pioneered small wood mills in B.C., focusing on innovation and sustainable practices.
Reforestation has been core since its early days: in 1975 the company planted its millionth tree, and by 2021, it reached a milestone of two billion seedlings planted. This long-term environmental stewardship demonstrates West Fraser’s leadership in sustainable forest management
International Expansion & Recent Moves
Publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange since 1986, West Fraser grew its North American reach via acquisitions like Weldwood of Canada (2004) and Norbord (2021), making it the largest OSB producer globally. It expanded further in the U.S. in 2021 and 2023 and recently streamlined its strategy by divesting pulp assets.
“West Fraser values the longterm relationships we’ve gained with Sprenger Midwest across all our lines of business, and we look forward to working with them for years to come.”
- Jeff Hodge Director, Panel Sales

NEW! Finger-Jointed Laminated Columns
By Diamond K Posts
Glued with Waterproof Glue Engineered by Timber Tech
Made with #1 KD Southern Yellow Pine .60 CCAKDAT on lower end with a 50-yr warranty on treatment.
Only the best raw materials are used in Diamond K Posts and we start with #1 Southern Pine lumber for both treated and untreated portions of the column. The bottom treated part of the column is protected against rot, decay and insect damage (.60 CCA).
SPECIALTY STRUCTURAL FRAMING COLUMNS
Individual plys have more complete treating than larger solids. Straighter, stronger and lighter columns greatly reduce labor cost in field as well as eliminate call backs. Posts won't crack or split and are of uniform dimensions with lumber planned to specific sizes
Untreated portion on upper end eliminate the need for hot-dipped, galvanized nails. Longer lengths available in a minimal amount of time from placement of order.
Individual plys can be notched for a superior truss bearing connection.
Adhesive between plys greatly cut down on interior layer slip resulting in better weak-axis stiffness.
