We had a great latin crew competing this year staring with the Triple Crown and in the Pipe Pro we where all there. Hawaii has it all: from the surf culture, history, the waves. Its like an amusement park. It’s amazing to go out surfing and share waves with the best surfers in the C ri stoba l Del Col

Was born on Waimea bay, in the house on the water, across the street from the church.
He has spent every waking day listing, watching the ocean and feeling the house shake when the waves are big. He has

watched the best big wave surfers in the world chase dragons in the back yard, and also seen the bay take people’s lives. Waimea Bay has so much energy (mana) from this sacred historical place, but it's magic is even stronger. Before Zion could even walk he was in the water, and under the water, his favorite thing to do. By the time he was 2 years old he was swimming on his own, not only swimming but holding his breath under waves. The ocean has given him a gift and he embraced it on his own. He is far beyond his years as a mini fearless Waterman. He loves to hold his breath and dive as deep as he can. When

he was 3 years old he stood up in his first wave in Tavarua Fiji. Ever since then he has always wanted to ride waves. He just turned 5 years old and is now being coached by the legendary Uncle Bryan Suratt. He has also been out training and swimming at Pinballs on solid 5’ days with his dad by his side. That’s 12-15’ faces or 3-4x over his head. He loves it! The energy and power of the ocean has this boys heart.

After four incredible days of surfing on Oahu's North Shore. After a week of perfect Pipeline, final day saw wild winds turn previously pristine conditions into unruly wedges, and upsets were the order of the day from the start.
The final eight surfers made up a stacked field, and despite the rough conditions the energy on the beach was electric as the semis hit the water.

Still Wiggolly Dantas hammered a Backdoor runner for eight points and the win. With it, he becomes the first Brazilian to win at the Volcom Pipe Pro, joining past champs like Kelly Slater, John Florence and Jamie O’Brien. “It was a pleasure to surf with all of the boys this week,” Dantas said, through tears of joy after his win. “Thank you so much to everyone.”

She is always reminding me that strength can come in many forms; from grace to fury, and from peace to mystery. With her as my teacher, I have studied the ocean's textures, colors,
and
representations
from
around the world.
I am still young in my artistry and will keep evolving as I enjoy creating accordingly to my current life experiences, travels, and relationships. I feel obligated to challenge myself in my art, and to let the art ebb and flow naturally as I move with it. Resin being my preferred medium, allows for cast shadows and layering that provide depth to the pieces. For this reason, I only create originals and refrain from duplicating them in the form of prints. For those that have dug their toes in the sand and watched the ocean’s beauty and power, know the peace it can bring to one’s soul. I want to evoke that same emotion from those that view my artwork as I play with the aerial perspective of the ocean and coastlines. The viewer of my art has the power to pull from his or her own experiences of life at the beach. One then has the capacity to see my work and bring to life the ocean right in front of them.
