Blaise Booth, also known as ‘Blaisey Shootz’ is a 27 year old videographer and photographer from Los Angeles, CA. His passion for the water came at a young age, spending countless hours bodyboarding and just being at the beach with friends. By high school, he was the kid that was known to be the “photographer”. Always had a camera in hand, capturing every magical moment.

Raimana van Bastolaer. It was a dream trip for any kid that grew up around the surfing. And last month, he was in the Mentawai’s with Olympic gold medalist Italo Ferreira. He still pinches himself on the fact that a simple passion of filmmaking and photography turned into his profession. Though it is a thrill to travel to these magical places, he believes the experiences that come with these trips are the true value.

“Throughout the past couple years, I believe that traveling has made me a better person. Yes, seeing these places that look photoshopped or out of a movie are insane in their own right. But I think where the most value comes from is one, learning about and experiencing other cultures. You get to see how other people live, and take those with you into my own life. Also, I am constantly humbled by many places where people don’t have a lot, but live a happy lifestyle.

And secondly, the bonds you make on a trip, whether it being with a friend of yours, or one that you made along the journey. You never know who you meet in life. I truly live by the statement “It’s not what you know, but who you know in life”, I believe that’s what got me to where I am.”

What does Blaise see in his future? For now, he loves the position that he’s in and hopes to keep meeting the right people to further his career. That being said, he is nowhere close to his end goal. That would be owning his own production company and being able to bring in young content creators under his wing, as Johnny did for him. He is forever in Johnny’s debt because if it wasn’t for him, god knows what he would be doing now. Probably a 9-5 office job. Be sure to keep an eye out for Blaise’s work and possibly seeing him out shooting on the beach.
