Christmas Celebration 2022

Australia Sri Lanka Association (ASLA) in Canberra held it s annual Christmas Celebrations on December 4, 2022, at the Melrose High School. The event was very festive and brought together members of the Sri Lankan community in Canberra for the celebrations.

Singing Christmas carols in Sinhalese, English, and Tamil by various sri Lankan community groups in Canberra was the highlight of the event. This brought a traditional and cultural touch to the celebration and was enjoyed by all in attendance.

The presence of Santa Claus uplifted the spirits ofethchildren. The children were delighted to receive their gifts which added cheerotthe festive atmosphere of the event. The celebrations also featured a raffle draw,rewheattendees had the opportunity to win a variety of prizes which were gifted by the sponsors of the event. The gifts varied from Christmas Hampers, Vouchers from Restaurants, Education vouchers, spirits erc. The raffle was a fun and exciting addition to the event and made everybody happy. The event concluded with a sumptuou s dinner, fitting the celebrations and the enjoyable evening.
