Relaxed Garment styles with this icon have increased wearing ease and are roomier than our Standard fit. A Relaxed Fit garment will usually have a drop shoulder, a larger armhole and a more boxy shape. A Relaxed fit does not follow the contours of the body and is made for comfort.

Athletic Fit or Fitted Garments with this icon are fitted to flatter the contours of your body. An Athletic Fit garment will fit closer to the body’s measure and have less wearing ease. The chest, waist and hip measures are slimmer than that of our Standard fit.

Over the years as tech has become all the rage, that question has been asked without anyone’s ability to answer it. Until now… Introducing Moisture Management Textiles (MMT) Ratings to identify level of performance and moisture management.

The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, known as AATCC, is “internationally rec­ ognized for its standard methods of testing fibers and fabrics to measure and evaluate such performance characteristics as colorfastness, appearance, soil release, dimensional change, and water resistance.”

And now AATCC is further recognized for its evaluation of moisture management properties of fabrics.

The testing standard AATCC 195 is a test method for “Liquid Moisture Management Properties of Textile Fabrics”, and “produces objective measurements of liquid moisture management proper­ties of knitted” fabrics. The method is made up of several different tests and algebraic equations (the kinds we all forgot after high school.) However, in an effort to quantify the test into a mean­ingful indicator of a Moisture Management Textile, Zorrel has identified a MMT Ratings based upon two indicators from this test.

1) The fabric tested must result in the conclusion of either, “This is a Moisture Management Fabric” or “This is a Fast Absorbing & Quick Drying fabric.”

“How good is your tech tee?”

AND

2) The result of the One Way Through (OWT) Index calculation must be a positive number, which then becomes the garment’s MMT Rating.

For example, Zorrel’s fabric of the Z3503 & Z6503 has a OWT Index Rating of 333 and thus receives a MMT300+ Rating on a scale of 1 (modest) to 1800 (exceptional).

So, look for that MMT Rating. When Zorrel indicates a MMT rating on our apparel, you can be assured that you are buying a tested and validated performance shirt.

Dri-Balance™

Our engineers have created elaborate knit structures which optimize the moisture transport dispersion in the cotton layer, allowing for air to move inward to cool the wearer.

All Dri-Balance™ fabrics have two layers. Against your skin is 100% microfiber polyester, plaited to a 100% combed cotton surface. Moisture is moved from the skin to the cotton instantaneously keeping wearer dry and cool.

The cotton rich fabric content is naturally Anti-Microbial forever.

Syntrel™

This Zorrel exclusive microfiber polyester technology is also a blend. Despite being 100% polyester, it uses two polyester yarns – a hydrophilic filament and a hydrophobic filament. This blend achieves a fabric which quickly moves perspiration from the wearers’ skin to the outside and keeps the perspiration on the outside.

Tri-Reg™

Tri-Reg™ is another proprietary Zorrel fabric which incorporates 3 performances and features; Body Heat Regulation – keeping you cool when it’s warm and warm when it’s cool. In addition to the BHR, it provides wind blocking and moisture wicking capabilities. The uniqueness of Tri-Reg™ keeps you dry and comfortable in nearly all temperatures without overheating.

Technicore™ Endurance Zorrel’s newest technical fabric is Technicore Endurance™.

100% polyester fabric utilizing advanced spinning and knitting techniques to give it the look and hand feel of fine cotton. No more damp shirt sticking against your skin.

Technicore Endurance is cool dry comfort, and perfect for the hottest day. Technicore goes way beyond standard cotton by offering - UV Protection, Durable Moisture Management, Anti-Microbial, Superior Stability, & Pill Resistant.
