Saranoni has always been about family Our business was born of a desire to help our daughter who was born with microtia receive surgery not covered by insurance It grew amid happy chaos as my husband Nathan joined me in business while we raised our 6 children together On November 5th of 2021, Nathan received a sudden and alarming diagnosis after feeling extremely tired for just a few days He was diagnosed with a large tumor in the middle of the brain stem We were able to get into Huntsman Cancer Institute within a few days and he was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer in the only inoperable place in the brain and was given 4 weeks to live Our hearts broke when Nathan passed away in early January 2022
While our family and our Saranoni team miss Nathan and his presence desperately, his passion for service and connection are alive and well at Saranoni Our mission remains to bring comfort, warmth, and connection to individuals and families Nathan used to say that moments become memories and we are honored to help families create and enjoy the moments that will become precious memories We hope that our blankets create a soft place to land and connect, and bring comfort to your lives! WARRANTY
What is covered: The warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship within a 365 day period Saranoni®, at its sole discretion, will repair, replace, or issue a refund for any product that proves to be defective in materials or workmanship
What is not covered: The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and does not cover: (a) wear and tear; (b) misuse, abuse, improper care or maintenance; (c) stains from use; (d) alteration or repair by unauthorized representatives; or (e) damage resulting from transit or handling

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To keep your Saranoni blanket soft, wash after wash, it requires the following care:
• Wash alone in cold on a delicate or gentle cycle (our fabrics do not like heat)
• Use a mild detergent - do not use fabric softeners, pods, or bleach
• Lay flat or hang to dry
• If needed, shake to restore fluffiness or run on AIR setting in dryer with no heat for 5-10 minutes Do not use dryer sheets

VISION CAMBODIA:
In 2019, co-founder Nathan Peterson visited Cambodia with Vision Cambodia to oversee the Saranoni-funded construction of clean water wells in impoverished communities without access This trip was so impactful that we soon doubled our efforts to help the people of Cambodia. Today, we support and fund the following efforts.
Safe Hospital Births: Cambodia suffers from a high infant mortality rate, due in part to inaccessibility to proper medical care Saranoni’s New Mother fund allows women to receive a moped ride to the hospital, a 2 day stay, and a moped ride back home Without these resources, many new mothers give birth alone in the rice fields. Between 2020 and 2023 we provided 175 safe births to mothers in Cambodia
Clean Water Initiative: Clean water is invaluable, and many villages are without access to readily available, clean water for cooking, drinking and cleaning Saranoni is grateful to have been able to provide over 65 wells in rural Cambodian communities .
Education & Financial Stability : Saranoni is also proud to support the financial stability and education of women in the rural impoverished community of Kulen We were able to purchase looms and pay for trained artisan women to travel to the “Sacred Mountain” to teach the women of Kulen the art of loom weaving The donation of these looms, together with the training recipients receive, provide many women permanent financial stability and the chance to escape life long debt by weaving and selling silk goods
HUNTSMAN CANCER INSTITUTE:
Co-founder Nathan Peterson passed away in 2022--a few years after his visit to Cambodia--from an aggressive form of brain cancer Our heart break cannot be described, but his passion for service has been deeply impactful for both the Peterson family and the Saranoni team
In light of his time spent at Huntsman Cancer Institute, it was particularly special to return to the Huntsman Cancer Institute a year after his passing, with nearly 2,000 blankets--our way to cheer on resident cancer patients Since then, we’ve been able to donate to additional thousands of patients in dozens of hospitals, including a recent 8,000-blanket donation to a prominent children’s hospital, continuing to provide comfort and support to those in need . We know Nathan would be proud
