After Purchasing a Playset, Trampoline or Basketball Hoop here’s what to expect!

Our Customer Care Team will contact you to discuss the following:

• Where is the item going to be delivered/installed?

• Is that respective area accessible by truck?

• Discuss “Call Before You Dig” requirements for all in-ground hoops to prevent unintentionally hitting underground utility lines. This process varies by state and we will review the logistics and next steps.

• Additional questions about the yard, driveway, and area will be asked to ensure proper and timely delivery.

The Customer Care team will then schedule a service date with one of our technicians.

Our technician will contact you on the day of service to confirm time and address.

Safety: Though fun is the reason you are looking for a playset, SAFETY is the #1 priority. Will it hold up to repeated use as your kids swing, slide, jump and swing some more? Will they have a safety-first design that prevents kids from getting stuck between bars or cutting themselves on sharp bolts? When choosing the size of your backboard for your driveway or home court it is important to consider the size of your play area.

54" x 36" LARGE

FITS BEST IN A SMALL 1-CAR DRIVEWAY OR SMALL COURT.

54" x 36" backboards are great for beginners who are just starting to learn the game.

60" x 38" LARGER

72" x 42" LARGEST

FITS BEST IN AN AVERAGE 2-CAR DRIVEWAY OR MEDIUM SIZE COURT.

60" x 38" backboards work well for intermediate players and recreational players. This is the most common size backboard due to its versatility for all players.

FAQs

What is tempered glass?

TEMPERED GLASS is 4 times as durable as regular glass. In the unlikely event that the glass breaks, tempered glass will shatter into small fragments instead of sharp shards, making it less likely to cause severe injury. Automobiles use tempered glass.

Why do we use a full perimeter aluminum trim around our backboard?

We use ALUMINUM TRIM to protect the perimeter of the tempered glass and to add another layer of safety. It is glued and riveted to the outside of the steel perimeter frame.

What is a gusset?

A GUSSET is a triangular piece of steel that is welded between the pole and the base plate. Gussets add strength and stability to the pole.

What is “gauge” of steel?

GAUGE refers to the thickness of steel. The LOWER the number the THICKER steel.

Example: 7 gauge steel is thicker than 11 gauge steel.

What is the difference between HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED steel and ZINC ELECTROPLATED steel?

HOT-DIP GALVANIZING (PROview® steel pole) is the process of coating steel with a layer of Zinc (galvanize).The entire pole (inside and out) is “dipped” into melted zinc. The bond between the Zinc (galvanize) and steel is super strong and cannot be peeled anyway. ZINC PLATING OR ELECTROPLATING (PROforce steel Pole and all other steel) is a process where zinc is applied by using a current of electricity. It is a thinner coating than hot dip galvanizing.

What is overhang?

OVERHANG is the distance between the front of the backboard and the front of the pole. A larger overhang will give the player more space, and hence more room to enjoy a real court experience.

What is the Power Arc 90 ® Lift Assist?

POWER ARC 90® LIFT ASSIST is a dual cylinder method used to adjust the height of your basketball system. One cylinder is a tension screw mechanism attached to a gear box, and with the use of ball bearings allows for PRECISE ADJUSTMENT and support. The second has an internal spring which allows for low resistance and EASE OF ADJUSTMENT. Combined, they create the easiest and most precise height adjustment in the market today.

How are PROformance Hoops ® anchored into the ground?

A PROformance Pier Mount Anchor System needs to be set in a 48" deep hole filled with concrete. Please see the Pier Mount Anchor System manual for details.

Can I take my PROformance Hoops ® System with me if I move?

Yes. All you have to do is remove the system as is from the Pier Mount Anchor and take it with you. You will have to install a new Pier Mount Anchor at your new location.

Should I install the Basketball Goal myself or use a professional installer?

The decision is up to you, but we suggest you contact a local PROformance Hoops® authorized dealer to have the system installed safely and in a reasonable amount of time.

What am I going to need to install my system myself?

Shovel, Auger or Post Hole Digger. 10-14 60lb bags of dry ready mix concrete, 2×4, saw, 15mm (9/16"), 19mm (3/4"), 24mm (15/16") and 27mm (1-1/16") socket or wrench, phillips screw driver, ratchet, rubber mallet, level and tape measure.
