BEST THING ABOUT LEEDS? There’s an amazing music/arts scene. There are loads of like-minded creative people in such a small area. There’s a really diverse range of cultures.

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO? According to my Spotify a lot of Gospel (Pastor T.L. Barrett, Twinkie Clark) a chunk of Khurangbin, Dusty Springfield, Habibi Funk and a curveball in the shape of Mariah Carey and Dido. A mix.
BEST THING ABOUT LEEDS? Good food, great people, cheap Ubers.

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO? A lot to be honest, but recently been rinsing Ojerime, Keyah/Blu, Pa Salieu, Pop Smoke, Anunaku, Quirke.
BEST THING ABOUT LEEDS? The range of creativity within the various communities. Musically you’ve got OnRo, Small Talk, Stretchy, Sable, Seasons, Equaliser, NotExotic, Love Muscle killing it. Then alternatively collectives like Misrepresented also setting pace.
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Lentils are lowkey underrated.
FAV PLACE TO HANG OUT IN LEEDS? Belgrave, Tribe, Headrow House.

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?
Disco. Funk. Soul. Anything that makes me need to move. Currently; Sly and the Family Stone, Sheila E, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Quincy Jones, Donna Summer, Diana Ross! Also ‘Strange’ by Celeste got me feeling some way recently.
BEST THING ABOUT LEEDS? Leeds never makes you who you don’t want to be. There’s never any competition to be more elite than your peers. There is a sense of mutual respect between creatives without turning into a race.
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? That I need to spend more time away from the city centre. Recently walked around Otley Chevin, next on the list is Hebden Bridge, Skipton and Pontefract Castle.
FAVE PLACE TO HANG OUT IN LEEDS? Hyde Park Book Club. Great food, perfect gigs and shows, and a homely atmosphere.

BEST THING ABOUT LEEDS? I can’t fault much about Leeds, but I’m certainly not averse to its cheap pints and beautiful people to drink them with.
WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Can’t stop thinking about Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite. Such a powerful film, up there with Queen & Slim for my favourite 2020 releases.
