SUNY Adirondack’s Residence Hall defies expectations of a “dorm” — no cinderblock walls, low ceilings or cramped quarters here!
Each suite houses four students in two bedrooms* with two bathrooms, and a bright shared living room and kitchenette area. Laundry, on-demand vending machines, study areas, social spaces, an event space, classrooms and a fitness center are conveniently located in the Res Hall.
Housing is available at 10- and 12-month rates to meet your needs.
Public Safety is on duty in the Residence Hall 24 hours a day.
Our Chartwells-run dining hall offers a variety of meal plans and vending options around campus.

VOLLEYBALL
Originally from Poland, Coach Viola Kotulak has been involved in every level of coaching in the Capital District for more than a decade. Along with successively navigating club, high school and college coaching ranks in our region, Kotulak was a highly decorated Division I player at St. John’s University. She earned numerous accolades, earning induction in the St. John’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014. Along with her success as a college athlete in the U.S., Kotulak has a long list of accomplishments representing her country on the international level.
Kotulak excels at breaking down complex techniques and strategies in a way her athletes can understand and apply, ensuring fundamentals are taught with purpose and precision. She sets clear expectations and consistently holds her athletes accountable for effort, preparation and behavior, creating a culture of discipline, trust and continuous improvement.
Kotulak spent time at Skidmore and Siena colleges as an assistant coach before taking over the reins of the Timberwolves. She has been head volleyball coach at SUNY Adirondack for four seasons, with success.

Julie Clark has worked for three decades in athletics, both in higher education and the private sector, as a collegiate coach, camp director, facility manager, business manager, athletics director and official. She was a standout athlete earning All-American status as a collegiate field hockey player. She was inducted into the Syracuse University Hall of Fame in 2004 and Queensbury School District Hall of Fame in 2024. She is a certified New York State Field Hockey Official and a United States Field Hockey Association Level 2 Umpire.

COMPLETE PLACEMENT TESTS IN MATH AND ENGLISH.
Placement tests are required and help advisors register you for the correct English and Math courses. Previously earned college credit, SAT/ACT scores and/or Regents scores might waive you from completing placement testing. Students will be notified if they need to complete placement test.
