Heitz Wine Cellars

Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, 2005 Historic Martha’s Vineyard is 34 gently sloping acres on the western side of the Napa Valley just south of Oakville. This verdant niche near the Mayacamas foothills soaks up the morning sun and then cools down a bit earlier than the valley floor. Fanning out across a graveled alluvial plain, the vines are fringed with towering eucalyptus trees, often credited with the distinctive minty aroma and taste of the wine. Joe Heitz crafted the first magnificent Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the exquisite fruit in 1966 on this Certified Organic ranch. The story continues to unfold today. The 2005 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon earned 93 points from Wine Spectator. It boasts minty bay leaf aromas with a spicy edge, leading to firm dark berry, mocha, mineral and sage flavors that are tight and well structured, with full ripe tannins providing an excellent backbone. These six bottles are almost ready to drink and are anticipated to be best from 2013 through 2022.

Pride Mountain Vineyards Merlot and More

This 2009 Pride Mountain Vineyards Merlot is a knockout! You will have the opportunity to go head-to-head with it during a tour and tasting at the St. Helena, California, vineyard where it is grown. Tonight, as the high bidder, you will also take home a special Double Magnum of this memorable Merlot.

You and five others will get a firsthand look at the birthplace of Pride Mountain Vineyards wines during a tour and tasting at the estate, which straddles the Napa and Sonoma county lines. The 235-acre property features more than 23,000 square feet of subterranean cave storage.

You will enjoy a tour of both the vineyards and caves and sip current releases, all while taking in exquisite views of the northern Napa Valley.

Tour and tasting are to be scheduled for a mutually convenient date.

Darioush Winery

Santa Barbara County Syrah, 2009 This lot’s packaging is as pretty as the product, and the product is pretty exceptional. Rusack Vineyards, located in Ballard Canyon just north of the Santa Ynez Valley on California’s Central Coast, creates elegant and distinctive handcrafted wines. The 2009 Rusack Santa Barbara County Syrah contains classic Ballard Canyon Syrah aromas of cassis, blackberry and a hint of licorice, with concentrated flavors of dried cherries, blackberries and cocoa mixed with velvety tannins that linger on the palate. Rusack Vineyards recommends drinking the wine within one to three years of the bottling date to enjoy young fruit aromas. For extended aging under ideal conditions, consume within three to 10 years of bottling date.

This wine is made even more special because it is offered in a oneof-a-kind Jeroboam, etched and hand-painted with exquisite Sun Valley artwork—a masterpiece inside and out.

We’ll Have a Barrel of Fun Be among the first to experience Boise’s 10 Barrel Brewing Company from an insider’s perspective. Brand new to downtown, 10 Barrel Brewing Company is the sister to the wildly popular pub in Bend, Oregon.

10 Barrel was founded by twin brothers Jeremy and Chris Cox, who bring their passion for quality craft beer to the Boise project. Joining the brothers for the Boise venture is Shawn Kelso, one of the highest decorated single brewers in the country and the recipient of 50 national medals in the past seven years including a gold and silver medal in the 2011 World Beer Championships. Up to four people will get a private tour of the new pub and brewery and join Shawn for a private tasting of his handcrafted beers. Far Niente

2010 Estate Chardonnay Far Niente Chardonnay is a blend of superlative Napa Valley vineyards, many of which are located in Coombsville, a cool growing region nestled in the rolling countryside and protected by the hills east of the city of Napa.

Four will see this gracious land on a tasting and tour at Far Niente. Founded in 1885 and restored in 1979, Far Niente is consistently recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The tour begins with a walk through the historic winery built into the hillside and continues with a visit to the state-of-the-art winemaking facility and a portion of the 40,000-square-foot wine aging caves. Last on the itinerary is a stop at the Carriage House, home to a fascinating collection of classic automobiles, followed by a tasting of new releases and older vintages. The current vintage of Dolce will be the highlight of the tasting, accompanied with a light food pairing.

Oakville Ranch Vineyards

2005 “Robert’s Blend” Cabernet Franc Oakville Ranch Vineyards rises 1,400 feet above the Silverado Trail on the east side of the Napa Valley. One of the first mountain vineyards and the highest in the Oakville Appellation, its rugged signature-red volcanic soils are planted in small blocks and farmed organically. This potent terroir cultivates the powerful wine that the high bidder will take home this evening: a Double Magnum of the 2005 “Robert’s Blend” Cabernet Franc. Polished tannins and vibrant fruit characterize this near-perfect vintage, which boasts rich, layered, complex and elegant flavors. It pairs exceptionally with many different foods. Drink this wine tonight or cellar for the next 10 years as it continues to develop.

Library Chardonnay This Double Magnum library offering from ZD Wines can be yours this evening in a beautiful wooden collector’s box. The harvest of 2008 marked ZD’s 40th crush, and the winery celebrated that milestone with this anniversary label. Over the years, this California Chardonnay has evolved to be recognized as a hallmark of ZD Wines. A unique character is achieved by blending the distinct attributes of the cool growing regions of Napa and Sonoma-Carneros as well as the fog-shrouded Santa Maria Valley in Santa Barbara and the cool, windy Arroyo Seco in Monterey.

This is a full, rich, well-balanced wine that won a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition in 2010.

Stars beneath the Stars The setting is the beautiful Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise, where grassy fields and a sky full of stars make up the “stadium.” The music is live and the band is the wildly popular My Morning Jacket. Four premium seats to their September 9, 2012 concert will go to tonight’s high bidder.

My Morning Jacket, originally from Louisville, Kentucky, brings a mix of Southern rock and psychedelic surrealism, along with magnetic singer Jim James’s signature style, to Boise fresh from a European tour. The band exploded onto the scene with its 1999 debut album, The Tennessee Fire, and critics and crowds have eagerly followed this quintet ever since.

Their live performances are legendary and the band has performed at Radio City Music Hall, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Bonnaroo Music Festival, where they played a nearly four-hour set in 2008. They opened for Pearl Jam at Lollapalooza last summer.

Before the show, you will be treated to dinner at Angell’s Bar and Grill.
