Golf Calendar April 2025

Calendar is subject to change

Golf Cart Rules Update, Single Medical Exemption, Walkers & Monday Golf Access

Walkers

Section B, #9 will now read: Walkers are permitted on the golf courses at all tee times. Walkers are required to carry divot sand during play and must adhere to the pace of play requirements.

Monday Golf Access

A verbal update was given to the Green Committee, Golf Committee and Board of Directors regarding the effect of the new and updated agronomic practices we have been implementing since early summer. While the anecdotal feedback from the members has been very complimentary as of late, the soil and conditioning need the time the staff is being given to ensure the best playing conditions on the golf courses. With the committees and Board of Directors further understanding this, the Board of Directors approved opening the driving range (mats only) and the putting green behind the clubhouse to open for access on Mondays beginning at 12:00pm and will be effective Monday, December 9. Golf staff will be available for assistance, oversight and restocking the range as needed. Please Note: All Putting Greens are for Putting Only, No Chipping please.

The Board of Directors, committees and staff are dedicated to improving the facilities, services and interaction among the members and staff on a continual basis and will continue to work towards fulfilling the mission and vision of Suntree Country Club.

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors Suntree Country Club

Golf Update

Golf Cart Rules Update, Single Medical Exemption, Walkers & Monday Golf Access

At its most recent meeting, the Board of Directors reviewed multiple rules, policies and practices from the Golf and Greens Committees that have been in place for trial to determine impact on the facilities and golfing membership. Below are the updated rules, policies and practices that the Board of Directors approved and agreed to implement.

Golf Cart Rule

Section C, #18 will now read: “Three Cart Rule: A maximum of three (3) carts will be allowed in groups consisting of four players. Groups consisting of three players will be allowed one cart for two players and an additional cart for the remaining player. Groups consisting of two players may ride in separate carts.” With golf at Suntree being a social sport, it is recommended and encouraged that groups consisting of four players continue to pair up in two carts and singles pair together. The three (3) cart rule includes both private and club owned golf carts and will be put into effect on Saturday, December 7.

Single Rider/Medical Exemption

There have been many general comments surrounding this policy. The Board of Directors have fully adopted it, and it remains in effect and enforceable. We hope that those on medical exemption continue to improve their condition and can return to general play and social activities as their time and health allows.

This policy has been designed and implemented to protect individuals whose health is compromised due to autoimmune deficiencies. The policy allows individuals to provide a doctor’s note specifying the need in a confidential manner to be reviewed and granted if the requirements are met. If the requirements are met, the individual is allowed to travel alone (or with their spouse or recognized significant other) in a private or Club owned golf cart while on Suntree Country Club Property. Specifically, they recognize that other than with their spouse or recognized significant other, they will be travelling alone in the golf cart, will carry no passengers at any time nor be a passenger in a private or Club owned golf cart. Additionally, due to the recognized medical concern and exposure, it is understood that the member will not be socializing at the Club during the exemption.
