Wagyu has become an increasingly familiar presence on steakhouse menus.

South Florida has no shortage of steakhouses promising premium cuts and lavish dining. The Wagyu House in Hallandale Beach, just north of Miami, enters that crowded field from a decidedly different direction.

Pho Nam, a new restaurant from the team behind acclaimed Downtown Miami restaurant Tam Tam, debuted this summer with a menu rooted in traditional Vietnamese cooking. The menu makes a strong case for comparison. Charred Wagyu Tartare puts the restaurant’s defining protein front and center, while Garlic Butter Jumbo Crab Cakes demonstrate that its ingredient standards extend beyond beef. Among the steaks, the Denver Steak Wagyu BMS7+ offers the structure and beefiness familiar to American steak lovers along with heightened marbling and richness.

Japanese A5 Miyazaki-Gyu Ribeye moves into altogether different territory, with intense marbling, richness and a texture intended to be savored in smaller bites. Japanese BBQ Glazed Salmon provides another route through the menu for diners who want something outside the steak program.

What emerges is a more personal proposition than simply ordering an extravagant cut of beef. You might arrive assuming Wagyu represents a single pinnacle of steak and discover that you prefer American Wagyu to Japanese A5, a Denver cut to ribeye, or a particular degree of marbling. That process of discovery is central to what The Wagyu House wants the meal to accomplish.

In the following exclusive interview, Gabriel Llaurado, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Meat N’ Bone, explains how years of sourcing and butcher expertise shaped The Wagyu House, what diners should understand before paying a premium for Wagyu, how the restaurant helps guests navigate dramatically different cuts and grades, and why the ultimate measure of a successful meal here is not necessarily ordering the most expensive steak. MK: What is still under-told about The Wagyu House, and what makes its foundation different from that of a traditional steakhouse?

GL: What I think is still under-told is that The Wagyu House is not simply another steakhouse that serves Wagyu. It was created by Meat N’ Bone, a company that spent years sourcing, butchering, selling and educating consumers about premium proteins before we ever opened this restaurant. That gives us a very different foundation. We can introduce guests to different grades, cuts, origins and styles of Wagyu and help them understand why they taste different. The goal is not just to serve an expensive steak; it is to create a place where guests can discover what they actually like.

MK: What are the three things that most clearly set the restaurant apart?

GL: First is access and sourcing.

Through Meat N’ Bone, we have relationships and purchasing capabilities that give us access to exceptional Japanese and American Wagyu programs, specialty cuts and premium proteins. Second is education and variety. Wagyu is not one product. We want guests to experience the difference between USDA Prime, American Wagyu, Japanese A5, different marbling levels, cuts and Japanese regions rather than simply seeing “Wagyu” written on a menu. Third is the connection between restaurant and the Meat N’ Bone shop. Guests can have an incredible protein in the dining room and then walk into the integrated Meat N’ Bone boutique and continue that experience at home.

American Wagyu generally involves Wagyu genetics raised in the United States and can offer an incredible balance between marbling and the traditional steak experience. Japanese A5 is something very different again, with much more intense marbling, richness and a unique texture. Even within Japanese A5, region, producer, breed, BMS score and

very low temperature, and the texture can almost dissolve on the palate. If someone is trying Wagyu for the first time, we ask what they normally enjoy. If they love a classic steak experience, I may guide them toward the Denver. If they want to understand what makes Japanese A5 completely different from American beef, Miyazaki is an incredible introduction. Our job is not to sell somebody the most

MK: Why did Atlantic Village and Hallandale Beach make sense for the concept, and what is the ideal evening for a traveler?

GL: Hallandale Beach was especially attractive to us because of how much the area is evolving. It sits between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, but more importantly, it is surrounded by growing communities where people are building their lives, raising families and increasingly looking for exceptional experiences closer to home. Atlantic Village is at the center of that evolution. For someone visiting The Wagyu House for the first time, the ideal evening would be to arrive early and spend some time exploring Atlantic Village before dinner. Then settle in at the bar for a cocktail before experiencing the menu and trying two very different Wagyu offerings side by side, perhaps an American Wagyu cut and Japanese A5. After dinner, guests can spend time on the patio, explore the Meat N’ Bone boutique to discover something to take home or ship later, or continue exploring Atlantic Village.

MK: What final point best captures what you want guests to understand about The Wagyu House?

GL: I think the biggest thing I would emphasize is that The Wagyu House is not a steakhouse that discovered Wagyu. It was created by a company that has spent years sourcing, butchering, selling and educating consumers about some of the world’s best proteins. That foundation gives us an opportunity to make premium dining more transparent and more educational. We want people to understand what they are eating, why it is special and, most importantly, what they personally enjoy.

Luxury does not have to mean intimidating. It can also mean having access to an extraordinary product, understanding its story and having people around you who are excited to share that knowledge.

That last point gives The Wagyu House its strongest identity. The restaurant can certainly deliver the indulgence expected from Japanese A5, but the more memorable proposition is comparison. A diner who walks in knowing only the word “Wagyu” can leave with a preference for a country, grade, cut, marbling level or style of eating. The integrated butcher boutique then makes that discovery useful beyond dinner.

Atlantic Village adds another layer for visitors who tend to divide South Florida dining between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Hallandale Beach sits between the two, close to Gulfstream Park and Shell Bay, while Atlantic Village brings dining, wellness, retail and family-oriented concepts into one open-air setting.

That makes The Wagyu House easy to build into an evening rather than treat as a stand-alone reservation.

The result is a steakhouse experience built from product knowledge outward. You can order lavishly here, but price is not the organizing principle. Preference is. Sirens and Showgirls: Kristen Thiele In Sirens and Showgirls, Kristen Thiele presents 21 large-scale oil paintings exploring performance, beauty, spectacle, and identity. Drawing inspiration from films, vintage photographs, and found ephemera, her richly layered works examine themes of escapism, anonymity, and the passage of time.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Thiele earned her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA from Miami International University. Reflections: Cari Cohen Exploring the evolving relationship between place, perception, and memory, Reflections features sculptural works that merge organic curves with angular architectural forms. Using concrete, mirrored surfaces, plexiglass, and color, Cari Cohen creates imagined environments

where solidity meets transparency, blurring the boundaries between reality, memory, and perception. The work becomes a reflection of spatial memory—part city, part reflection, part reconstruction.

Originally from Argentina, Cohen earned her degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires before pursuing a career as a visual artist. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States and is included in numerous private and corporate collections. She lives and works in South Florida.

Arlene Lakin’s Clarifying Concepts: Educate Yourself On A Life With Developmental Disabilities Ann Storck Center – a Fort Lauderdalebased private NonProfit Organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – will host a free seminar entitled “Arlene Lakin’s Clarifying Concepts: Educate Yourself on a Life with Developmental Disabilities” with a panel of community experts on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Ann Storck Center Adult Day Training Building.

During the free seminar, the Ann Storck Center team and a panel of community experts will discuss navigating the needs of children with developmental disabilities.

Ann Storck Center CEO Patricia (Pat) Murphy will moderate the panel alongside one of the Center’s residents, Jimmy’s mother, Mimi Tracey. Veteran, Advocate, Author, Founder and CEO of Special Compass, Jim Sayih, will welcome the crowd.

The Arlene Lakin Advocacy Fund is a legacy program established to carry forward the inspired work of Arlene Lakin, who devoted her life to serving those who could not serve themselves, advocating for improved services and benefits for the disabled and their families. Lakin’s indelible impact on the developmental disability landscape is profound, and the Fund is a fitting, enduring recognition of a tireless, selfless do-gooder. Lakin’s youngest son Douglas has been a permanent resident of the Ann Storck Center since 1991.

The Center seeks to sustain the fund as a thoughtful reflection and show of gratitude. Ann Storck Center’s commitment is to an ongoing, innovative and accessible educational and informational platform to assist the entire developmental disability community, professionals, community agencies and partners, children and families, to better understand, access, navigate and manage the sometimes difficult and seemingly isolated pathways to resources and supports.

Ann Storck Center recently acquired Victory Living Programs (VLP), expanding its comprehensive network of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across South Florida.

The acquisition brings VLP’s respected supported living, employment, community inclusion, and recreational programs into the ASC family, strengthening resources, enhancing opportunities, and ensuring long-term sustainability for the individuals and families both organizations proudly serve.

Broward Children’s Center Is Now Enrolling Students For The 2026-2027 School Year Broward Children’s Center (BCC) – a NonProfit Organization dedicated to serving infants, children and young adults who are developmentally disabled and medically fragile and their families – is currently open for limited enrollment for students for its BCC Academy, a NonProfit Private School for the 2026-2027 school year.

BCC Academy has been continuously serving the Broward County community since 1971. Broward Children’s Center’s multi-lingual nurturing and inclusive program offers a comprehensive academic curriculum paired with an array of specialized services to support students of all abilities. BCC Academy’s intimate campuses are designed for each child to receive the personal attention needed to achieve their goals.

BCC Academy provides educational, therapeutic and behavioral services for children with special needs, prekindergarten through eighth grade, at its north campus in Pompano Beach, located at 25 Southeast 20th Avenue, Pompano Beach, Florida 33060 and south campus in Dania Beach, located at 3891 Stirling Road, Dania Beach, Florida 33312. The NonProfit Private School is specifically designed to meet the unique developmental and educational needs of children with moderate to severe disabilities, through research-based instructional strategies and a thematic-based curriculum.

Various assessments and observations are used to set educational goals for each child. Parental input is encouraged throughout this process to optimize a student’s educational experience. The classrooms are designed for each child to receive the personal attention needed to achieve their goals.

Broward Children’s Center is committed to creating an equitable learning environment where every child thrives. BCC Academy provides tailored support for students with disabilities, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); Speech and Language Therapy; Occupational Therapy; Physical Therapy; Behavior Support Services; Academic Intervention and Resource Specialists; Inclusive Classrooms with Differentiated Instruction; Small Group and One-on-One Support; and Family and Caregiver Resources.

BCC Academy’s ancillary Social Services provides ongoing support to the infants, children, young adults and families, including Parenting Enrichment, Youth Enrichment, Education, Case Management, Information and Referrals and Community Outreach.

Broward Children’s Center’s Family Strengthening Program and Sibling Program are built on an evidence-based national model known as the Nurturing Program for Parents and their Children with Special Needs and Health Challenges (NPP Special Needs). The program provides families and caregivers with individualized, ongoing support and skills needed for parenting a child with special needs.

In an effort to support working families, BCC Academy provides coverage when Broward County Public Schools is typically closed, including some holidays and

teacher planning days. Services also include Summer Camp, Before and After School Care, and door-to-door transportation. Broward Children’s Center also offers Respite to parents and families, providing a temporary break from the dayto-day care of their child with special needs.

BCC Academy receives funding through the Children’s Services Council of Broward. Tuition plans are individualized per student. Broward Children’s Center will work with families to help meet the costs associated with attending BCC Academy. Additional funding options are available through the Family Empowerment Scholarship Program.

Hallandale Beach Chamber Of Commerce’s State Of The City Address Part 3

Last week was part 2 of my State of the City Address hosted by the Hallandale Beach Chamber of Commerce. This week in part 3, I share Complete Streets — Safer, More Walkable Neighborhoods.

We continue to move ahead with our paving program. I am frequently asked, “Mayor, when is my street going to be paved?” Sometimes the answer depends on what is underneath that street. If Major Water, Sewer, or Drainage Infrastructure is scheduled for replacement, it doesn’t make sense to spend taxpayer dollars paving a beautiful new roadway only to tear it apart shortly afterward. The paving program has not only been successful but is well ahead of schedule.

Two exciting initiatives moving forward are called quick builds. The projects along Atlantic Shores Boulevard and Diana Drive have been in the works for a while and those costs continued to escalate. Rather than waiting we are going to implement quick improvements.

Quick building is a solution to deliver much-needed improvements. It does not mean complete reconstruction. It allows

us to utilize striping, parking improvements, pedestrian treatments, and other enhancements to improve safety and beautify an area while larger Infrastructure projects are being planned.

Construction costs, as I stated before, remain a major challenge. One project along Northwest 8th Avenue was originally projected at approximately $8 Million.

Today, estimates have climbed significantly upwards to $14 Million.

Rather than abandoning the project, we are looking at completing it in phases.

Northwest 8th Avenue is part of our educational corridor, connecting Hallandale High School with our neighborhoods and continuing toward Gulfstream Academy.

Sidewalks, pedestrian safety, lighting, and connectivity are essential to creating a truly livable and walkable community.

More importantly, we all want our children to be safe.

The future of mobility is: It’s time to share the road. Transportation is changing rapidly.

Electric bicycles are becoming increasingly common. Scooters are everywhere. I

recently visited one of our schools and saw firsthand that many children are no longer riding bicycles to school — they’re riding scooters. That creates new safety challenges.

Hallandale Beach has been among the first Broward cities to establish e-bike and scooter regulations. We are also revisiting a partnership to launch a bike-sharing program.

Our message moving forward must be: Share the Road. Drive Safely.

The roads of the future may look quite different from the one we know today.

I recently attended Commotion at Miami Dade College to learn more about autonomous vehicles, eVTOLS, and drones. These technologies are no longer science fiction.

Autonomous vehicles are already operating in American cities. Delivery drones are being deployed in parts of the country.

Companies such as Wing are already demonstrating how groceries, pharmacy items, and other products can be delivered directly to consumers.

Imagine ordering something from a local business and having it delivered

without putting another delivery vehicle into traffic.

That has enormous implications for transportation. I have been working alongside Staff and business partners in hopes to create a pilot here in Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Between wing Walmart and DoorDash. Will be able to work with the government and the FAA on these new technologies.

We are exploring autonomous minibuses. Imagine a circulator traveling along Hallandale Beach Boulevard, connecting the western portion of our city all the way to the beach. Technology is not simply coming; it is being deployed through pilots and private partnerships. The question is whether government and regulatory agencies can keep pace with it.

The Shofar We Won’t Blow - High Holidays 5787 101

If I asked you to name one thing we do on Rosh Hashanah, chances are you would say, “Blow the shofar!”

And you would be right.

The shofar is probably the most recognizable symbol of Rosh Hashanah. We blow it in shul, children make shofar projects in school, holiday cards are covered with pictures of shofars, and rabbis spend weeks reminding everyone: Whatever else you do, make sure you hear the shofar!

So here’s some breaking news: This year, on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, we will not blow the shofar.

Not once.

Don’t worry. We didn’t lose it.

The rabbi didn’t forget to order one. And the shofar blower isn’t taking the day off.

This year, the first day of Rosh Hashanah falls on Shabbat, and when Rosh Hashanah falls on Shabbat, we do not blow the shofar.

Now that deserves an explanation.

The Torah commands us to hear the sound of the shofar on Rosh Hashanah. Biblically, that mitzvah applies even when Rosh Hashanah occurs on Shabbat.

But our Sages were concerned that someone who didn’t know how to blow the shofar might pick one up and carry it through a public domain to bring it to an expert for instruction. Carrying in a public domain is one of the activities prohibited on Shabbat.

So, to protect the sanctity of Shabbat, our Sages instituted that when Rosh Hashanah falls on Shabbat, the shofar is not sounded outside the Holy Temple.

Think about that for a moment.

One of the most important mitzvot of one of the most important days of the year—and we put the shofar down.

There is a powerful lesson here.

We often think that getting closer to G-d is about doing something. Pray. Give charity.

Light Shabbat candles. Put on Tefillin. Help another person.

Study Torah. Come to shul. Do another mitzvah.

And, of course, it is.

But sometimes our greatest connection to G-d comes not from what we do, but from what we choose not to do.

Normally the shofar cries out, “Hashem, we want to be close to You!” This year, on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, our silence says the very same thing.

Chassidic teachings take this idea even deeper. The shofar isn’t simply missing because of a technicality. The spiritual accomplishments that we normally achieve through blowing the shofar are accomplished this year through the holiness of Shabbat itself.

In other words, sometimes the loudest shofar is the one we don’t blow.

And perhaps that is an especially important message for the world we live in today.

We live in a very noisy world.

Everyone has something to say. And thanks to our phones, we can say it instantly. Someone annoys us—we respond. Someone sends a message—we answer. Someone posts something—we

give it a thumbs-up, thumbs-down, or immediately add our two cents. Someone says something about someone else— and before you know it, we’ve forwarded it to three WhatsApp groups.

Sometimes we need to blow the shofar.

And sometimes we need to know when

And then ask: What is the shofar I must not blow?

What can I leave behind in 5786? What reaction can I hold back? What bad habit doesn’t deserve to come with me into the new year? What negativity can I stop giv-

Sometimes the greatest victory is the angry response we didn’t send.

The piece of gossip we didn’t repeat.

The argument we decided wasn’t worth winning.

The grudge we finally stopped carrying.

The questionable opportunity we walked away from.

The extra few minutes we didn’t spend staring at our phone, so that we could actually look at the person sitting across the table from us.

The Torah doesn’t only teach us what to do. It also teaches us the holiness of restraint.

As we enter the Jewish year 5787, perhaps each of us should ask ourselves two questions.

What is the shofar I need to blow this year?

What mitzvah have I been meaning to begin? Whom can I help? What relationship needs repairing? Is there someone I need to call? Is there more time I can make for my family, for Torah, for prayer, for charity, for another Jew? What can I add to make myself, my family and my

ing a voice to?

Sometimes changing our lives requires doing something new.

And sometimes it requires having the strength not to.

But before anyone gets too excited and says, “Great! Rabbi Kievman just told me I don’t need to hear shofar this year,” hold on!

We absolutely will blow the shofar this Rosh Hashanah!

We don’t blow it on Shabbat, the first day of Rosh Hashanah. But on Sunday, September 13, the second day of Rosh Hashanah, we most certainly do.

So if the title of this article gave you an excuse to sleep late all weekend—nice try!

Come to shul. Hear the shofar. Bring your children. Bring your parents. Bring a friend. Even if you haven’t been to synagogue in a long time. Even if you don’t know the prayers. Even if your Hebrew isn’t very good. Even if you don’t consider yourself particularly religious.

The shofar doesn’t use words either.

It is simply the cry of a Jewish soul reaching out to G-d.

And perhaps that is why it speaks so powerfully to every one of us.

This year, Rosh Hashanah 5787 begins Friday evening, September 11, 2026, and concludes Sunday night, September 13.

The first day is Shabbat, and the shofar will therefore be sounded on Sunday.

I encourage you to attend your local Chabad or synagogue and experience Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and all the High Holidays to their fullest.

Of course, you are always welcome to join us at The Family Shul. This year, our High Holiday services will be held at the Auditorium of AWK-8 in West Aventura, with plenty of room for the entire Jewish community.

Open seating is completely free of charge, so that no Jew should feel that cost or synagogue membership stands between them and the opportunity to come to shul.

Upgraded reserved seating is also available.

We’ll have inspiring services, a soul-stirring Chazan, a great children’s program and Kiddush lunch. Whether you’re with us every week or haven’t stepped into a shul in years, it would be our honor to have you and your family join us.

Get Ready for King Tides Unusually high tides, also known as King Tides, are expected in Hollywood this week and periodically through December. King Tides are seasonal high tides that can cause flooding in low-lying areas. Rising sea levels and inclement weather can further increase flooding risks. Rainfall, wind strength and direction, sea surface temperatures and other conditions can also affect water levels, causing tides to come in higher or lower than predicted.

With seven miles of shoreline, 7.9 miles of canals and flat topography, Hollywood is particularly vulnerable to the effects of sea level rise and tidal flooding.

Based on National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) tide predictions, above-average high tides are expected during the following periods: • September 9-13 • September 26-October 1 • October 7-13 • October 24-31 • November 5-11 • November 22-28 • December 5-8 The seasonal peak is currently expected around October 27th. Actual

tide elevations may be higher than predicted depending on conditions including wind, rainfall and sea surface temperatures.

High seasonal tides can cause flooding along coastal roads and in low-lying neighborhoods, parking lots and docks.

Water levels may rise by more than two and a half feet during high tide. Motorists are urged to use caution, avoid driving through flooded streets and seek alternate routes when necessary.

The City continues to implement shortand long-term solutions to minimize the impacts of tidal flooding. Flap gates have been installed within the stormwater system to help prevent tidal water from flowing back through storm drains. Auxiliary pumps are also stationed in high-risk areas to help clear flooded streets as quickly as possible.

Enhanced Weekly Tidal Forecasts Available The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), in partnership with the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, now provides enhanced, locally customized tide predictions based on NOAA forecasts.

The enhanced forecasts account for

factors including sea level rise, weather conditions, wind speed and direction, sea surface temperature and swell energy to provide a more complete picture of potential tidal conditions. Automated King Tide forecasts are available through SFWMD’s Resilience Metrics Hub for seven tidal stations across South Florida, including Port Everglades.

Residents can also subscribe to SFWMD’s Weekly Tidal Outlook Forecast by visiting the District’s email subscription page and selecting “King Tide Forecast.”

Make a Difference in Your Neighborhood Residents can also help reduce localized flooding by adopting a catch basin in their neighborhood. City crews work to maintain more than 157 miles of underground stormwater piping and approximately 4,900 catch basins throughout Hollywood. Through the Adopt a Catch Basin program, residents can help by checking an adopted basin at least once a month, clearing leaves and other debris as needed and submitting proof of their efforts to earn points toward rewards.

Residents can further help keep storm drains clear by placing coconuts in their garbage carts for collection and properly disposing of lawn clippings and yard

waste rather than allowing debris to enter the stormwater system. To participate in the Adopt a Catch Basin program, visit HollywoodFL.org/AdoptACatchBasin.

It’s checkup season for Palm Beach County’s Coral Reefs. Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society and Loggerhead Marinelife Center (Loggerhead) have joined forces to send dive teams to survey Offshore Reefs to see how local Corals are holding up during the peak heat of summer.

Through October 2026, the teams are running what’s called Disturbance Response Monitoring, or DRM for short. Think of it as an annual physical for the Reef. Divers check how much healthy Coral is out there while watching for bleaching and disease. It’s careful, unglamorous work, but it’s part of what scientists and managers need to understand about how Reefs are coping as ocean temperatures climb.

You’ve felt it; we all have. The summers are hot and while the water is cooler, marine life is extremely sensitive to even the most minor fluctuations. It’s a bit like when you and your family fight over the thermostat because even one degree makes all the difference in how comfortable we feel.

This is the Zoo’s eighth summer in a row conducting these surveys. But what’s new this year is diving alongside Loggerhead’s dive team for the first time with these surveys. This diverse relationship is building on a Coral restoration trip the two teams took together to the Florida Keys this past spring.

“Oceans provide at least 50% of the oxygen we breathe. For every other breath we take, we have the Ocean and Marine Life to thank. Florida’s Coral Reef is both an ecological treasure and an economic powerhouse, but it is vulnerable to what happens on land and in our warming waters,” said Michael Terrell, Director of Wildlife Conservation Impact and Coral Conservation Coordinator at Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society.

“As summers grow hotter, Florida is at risk of losing one of its most important natural defenses against Hurricanes. Florida’s Coral Reef protects more Coastal Infrastructure than any other reef system in the world, while also sustaining countless jobs and supporting the seafood on our plates,” said Joanna Walczak, Vice President of Conservation at Loggerhead Marinelife Center. “By joining Palm Beach Zoo for these surveys, we are putting more eyes on our local Reefs when they are most vulnerable and raising awareness about what is at stake if we do not protect and restore them.”

Why This Matters After decades of decline, the Corals that build Florida’s Coral Reef can no longer recover on their own. Without sustained investment in restoration, monitoring, and water-quality protection, Florida risks losing an $8.5 Billion economic engine that shields coastal communities, supports local jobs, and protects the way of life that defines our state.

That is why this collaboration matters. Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society and Loggerhead Marinelife Center bring decades of hands-on conservation experience to the Reef, combining divers, data, scientific expertise, and public education to better understand and respond to coral stress when Reefs are most vul-

nerable.

Florida’s Coral Reef does quiet, heavy lifting every day. It helps support Marine Life, buffers storm surge before it reaches beaches and homes, and sustains the fishing, diving, and tourism industries that generate billions of dollars for Florida’s economy. Protecting the Reef is not only an environmental priority; it is an investment in public safety, coastal resilience, and Florida’s future.

Now is the time to act. State leaders, local communities, businesses, and residents must support sustained Coral restoration funding, reduce land-based sources of Pollution, and champion science-based Reef protection. Every investment made today helps give Florida’s Coral Reef a fighting chance tomorrow.

About Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) Loggerhead Marinelife Center, located in Loggerhead Park, Juno Beach, Florida, is a Sea Turtle Research, Rehabilitation, Education, and Conservation Center. The Center also manages the Juno Beach Pier across the street from the park. Established in 1983, LMC seeks to promote conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles.
