Jared inspires healthy eating at Hollywood YMCA

Recently, the YMCA of South Broward, located in Hollywood, became one of many YMCA facilities across the country to jump on the Subway healthy bandwagon. Subway built a restaurant inside the Taft Street location, and attracted a special guest, Jared, who spoke about healthy eating. Store opening photo on Page 4D.

What had been in the planning stages for nearly a month, became reality when 33 sailors from the USS De Wert (Mayport, Fl.) came to American Legion Post 92 in Hollywood for an evening of food, drink, fun and plenty of stories and thanks. "We have always watched other Posts in South Florida bring in men and women from ships on hand for Fleet Week," said Commander Richard Snyder. "Everyone here wanted to have that opportunity to host a group for a night.
