Bankers Hall market location opens in downtown Calgary and Sunterra Quality Food Markets Inc. and Sunterra Catering is born.

1993

Pig Improvement Sunterra Meats begins processing operations in Trochu.

Canada (PIC) is started in Acme, breeding superior Landrace 1990 and Large White pigs. 20 years later, the first market is opened to sell pork directly to customers.

Our Fresh Rewards program launches and the West Market Square TransCanada Tower location opens in Calgary. market location opens in downtown Calgary.

Heirloom Tomato and Corn Salad

SERVES 4 2 2 ¼ ¾ cup ¾ cup ½ tbsp 3 tbsp 2½ tbsp 1/8 tsp 1 pinch 1 tsp

cobs of corn, boiled or roasted large heirloom tomatoes red onion, sliced bell peppers, julienne cucumber, sliced honey fresh lime juice olive oil garlic, finely chopped chili flakes cilantro, chopped Sea salt to taste

Shave the kernels off the cooked cobs of corn. Wash the heirloom tomatoes and cut into 1-inch wedges. Put the corn and tomatoes in a bowl with red onions, peppers and cucumbers.

In another bowl, whisk together honey and lime juice until the honey dissolves.

Add olive oil, garlic, chili flakes, cilantro and salt and whisk till blended. Pour the vinaigrette over the salad and let sit for 20 minutes before serving.
