Flying is in the genes. Ruth Jones has been flying Tiger Moths for decades – she learnt to fly in one, got her pilot’s licence in one. She was a trailblazer and a pioneer in women’s aviation in the Bay of Plenty. So it’s hardly surprising 13-year-old granddaughter Jess Jones has a hankering to get airborne, among other things such as swimming, netball and university.
