PTA spokesman Stu Watson says the event, which offers an oven as first prize, is a great addition to the school’s good-old-fashioned
country fair this Saturday. “The harvest festival is really a celebration of country life, bringing together some of the best local produce, homemade jams and all those things you’d expect at a country fair. Stu says a festival highlight will be a team sheep shearing competition that involves eating

a meat pie, drinking a ginger beer, then shearing a sheep with the shearing machine powered by a team member pedalling a bike. Money raised goes to upgrading the school playground, outdoor education and teaching resources. The event runs at the school from 10am-2pm
on Saturday. Entry forms for the baking competition must be collected from the Good Food Trading Company.
