Commonwealth Games, 2023 World Championships, 2024 Paris Olympics and 2025 Tokyo World Championships. Following a busy international season, Bell said the change of scenery had offered a valuable reset as he balances training with full-time psychology study through Massey University.

His achievements already place him among the country’s best, including multiple national titles and a record-breaking discus throw of 69.51 metres set in 2025 in the United States. He is also busy giving back to the community through school visits to talk to students as a New Zealand Olympic
