A champion on two wheels, Bay of Plenty rider Ben Townley should feel at home when he lines up to represent New Zealand at the annual Motocross of Nations in France this month. The Tauranga-based rider came out of retirement recently from the sport to become one of three riders who will fly the flag at this ‘Olympic Games of motocross’ at Ernée, north-west France, on September 26-27. Despite listing his status as semi-retired, the former world, United States and New Zealand champion adds experience and plenty of punch to the Kiwi campaign.
