Full speed ahead If you hear rumbling and roaring from the Tauranga Waterfront tomorrow – don’t panic. It’s just the sounds of the GJ Gardner NZ Offshore Powerboat competitors as they zip and zoom on the water. Hosted by Bay of Plenty Tourism and Acceleration on Water, the second series of high speed powerboat racing will begin at 11am, followed by the start of the two day Hydroplane series and the Tauranga sailing regatta. See page 7 for full story. Photo by Ross Brown.
