Indoor climbing may not reach the same heights in coverage as rugby does, but the skills required for this sport are arguably more intense. The growing competitive sport is currently in the middle of the NZ National Cup, with eight teams from around the country fighting to reach the top of both the wall and the points table. Round three of the national series is being held at Mount Maunganui with defending champion team Rockhouse from the Mount battling to hold their title on June 11 and 12. See story page 11.
