“was like a family very much so”. Bob, who joined in the 1970s with his late wife, was proud of the what the church had achieved across its 150 years of existence in Katikati. The Delbridges, their congregation and the public gathered on Sunday inside St
Peter’s Anglican Church, on the corner of Carisbrooke St and Beach Rd, to celebrate the milestone – which makes it one of two original pioneer churches in the Bay of Plenty – with a special service led by Bishop Philip Richardson of Taranaki.
