PETg material needs lower temperatures to reach the same contraction level as PVC. The tunnel temperature for PETg is also 10% lower than the one needed for PVC, which means lower energy consumption and savings in the production budget.
The steam consumption for the application of PETg labels also decreases by up to 10%. Specifically, for a typical tunnel with a steam generator, the average consumption is 50-60KW / hour which means saving at least 0.7 euro / hour of operation. At a higher production rate, the difference in cost will be even more significant.
