Ron’s art career began in 1984 when his wife presented him with acrylic paints and brushes. This is when the self-taught artist began his art journey. Now 40plus years later, he has produced numerous paintings of wildlife and nature. The fact that his passion for the outdoors and 20 years of service working with wildlife for the Pennsylvania Game Commission have more than a little influence on the subjects he paints. His art has captured the attention of art collectors throughout the US. Many of his paintings have been published as limited-edition art prints, a number of which are sold out. His art has graced the covers of magazines, calendars and greeting cards. Ron was twice selected as “Artist of the Year” by Ducks Unlimited, and his art was selected as a sponsor print for the Ruffed Grouse Society. His paintings are known for their thoughtful composition, richly detailed landscapes, and accurately portrayed wildlife.

Overhead Door Company of Lycoming County, 633 W. Third St,Williamsport, is celebrating 60 years of selling residential and commercial garage doors. For Jack Schrader, owner of the business, the milestone could not have been reached without the community’s support.
“Thank you for 60 years of allowing us to serve Williamsport and the surrounding area,” he said.
Schrader was also quick to thank his staff.
“They are the face of the company to do repairs and installations,” he said, adding that residential clients trust them to perform work even when thye’re away from home.
Overhead Door offers an array of garage doors to fit individual needs. Schrader is particularly proud of their newest offering.

“We have new embossments on residential doors. For instance, we have artisan wood grain finishes on our Thermacore doors. It is a non-repeating grain and it looks like real wood plank.” said Schrader. For commercial customers, Overhead Door now has a high performance line of high speed doors. They are especially
useful for environments that need to retain heat or refrigeration.
The business invites the public to take advantage of their 60th anniversary sale starting at the end of March through April.
