Rules & Regulations Winter League Rules & Regulations 2026/2027 The Winter League rules and regulations are available via the club's designated league information link.
Junior substitutes — Regional Winter League Key eligibility point 1. For junior players substituting on a team in the Regional Winter League, the player must be ranked outside the Top 50 of the Tennis Ireland National Singles Rankings for their actual age group, as published in Week 32 (3 August 2026). 2. Eligibility is based solely on the Tennis Ireland Singles Rankings. 3. This single eligibility criterion is intended to provide clarity and consistency for Team Captains following the recent global rollout of updates to the WTN algorithm.
Additional information 1. Tennis Ireland Singles Rankings are being used as the primary reference because they provide the most comprehensive dataset. Many tournaments do not run doubles events, resulting in significantly lower participation numbers in doubles rankings. 2. WTNs will not be considered when assessing substitute eligibility for this competition. Team WTN thresholds were established and team entries submitted before the recent WTN update. 3. A review of thresholds will be conducted before the next competition. For the current competition, the ranking threshold remains the sole criterion for substitute eligibility.
General league administration 1. Team Captains will be added to their respective teams on Tournament Software once the league goes live. Access will be provided for result-entry purposes only. 2. A result sheet for the match day is provided for reference. 3. Clubs that had not appointed Team Captains were asked to do so by Friday, 18 September 2026. 4. All players were to be added to their respective teams by Friday, 18 September 2026.

Court & Booking Etiquette Court bookings 1. Captains can book courts through the office at no cost for home matches by calling 021-4272733. 2. You will require 2 courts to play your matches, and up to 4 time slots can be booked for each tie. 3. Please do not book excessive courts for ties. 4. Due to demand, specific courts requested may not always be feasible.
Court etiquette 1. All members representing the club are expected to conduct themselves in a suitable manner and be respectful at all times towards the club and visiting opponents. 2. Scoreboards are available for all matches, along with single sticks if required. 3. Scoreboards and single sticks are stored in the Squash Court lobby area. 4. Please return equipment after the tie so that it is protected from the weather. MATCH-DAY STANDARD
Represent the club well: be respectful, use only the courts and time slots needed, and return shared equipment promptly after play.

Club Gear & Training Nights Club gear Details to be confirmed.
Training nights 1. The club provides coach-led training at a reduced cost to teams. 2. Team training arranged independently outside this organised provision must be paid for by the team.

Tennis Balls & Lights Tennis balls 1. Two tubes of new tennis balls are available for all home matches. 2. These can be signed out free of charge by the Captain on the day of the home tie. 3. Please leave used balls at the club for use on social evenings and other club events.
Lights 1. Lights are provided free of charge during competitive matches only. 2. Teams must pay for their own lights during practices.

Catering Hosting visiting teams 1. It is the responsibility of home teams to provide catering for visiting teams. 2. Members may use the club facilities and are expected to clean up after themselves before leaving. 3. If the kitchen is used, please leave it in the same condition in which you found it. 4. Tea and coffee are provided free of charge to home and visiting team members only. This does not extend to supporters.
A good host matters
Home teams set the tone for the match-day experience. A clean kitchen, simple hospitality and a welcoming attitude help make the Winter League enjoyable for players and visitors alike.
