Thanks a

million We have over a million reasons to be grateful.

Each and every one of you. In 2021, we reached a remarkable milestone serving over a million members! It’s an achievement we are extremely proud of, not because of the quantity it represents, but rather the quality it proves. We don’t stand out because of the scale of our assets and the size of our membership alone, but the level of service and culture that got us here! Knowing that over a million members, and counting, turn to us with their financial lives is a testament to the quality of our employees, products and services, commitment to community, and adherence to our mission of improving the financial lives of our members. We proudly present our 2021 annual report, where we provide a glimpse into just some of the many accomplishments of the year. We share these moments through the eyes of our members and employees alike, each page a tribute to the many reasons we’re thankful for what the past year has brought and what’s still to come for Suncoast’s bright future.

Chairman, Board of Directors Dear Suncoast Credit Union Members, 2021 was a year filled with a continuing worldwide pandemic, economic challenges, and other general uncertainties. For Suncoast Credit Union, we once again met these challenges with a resounding and steadfast commitment to our members and communities to face these uncertain times together – and together we continued to thrive. As an organization, we are grateful for the dedication of our employees, the loyalty of our members, and the shared love of our communities. To serve over one million members is truly a milestone to be celebrated, especially during these most challenging times. The theme of this year’s annual report – One Million Reasons - is an extension of that celebration where we will showcase more of the moments, and the people, that made 2021 special at Suncoast. Financially, we are stronger than ever, reaching almost $15 billion in assets by the end of 2021. Our resilient financial structure can be attributed to responsible asset management, a conservative

investment strategy, effective expense control measures, and sound policies set by our Board of Directors. This level of financial health allows us to further our mission of providing exceptional financial value. With historically low interest rates, our record setting $5.8 billion in loan originations translated into real savings for our members. Suncoast’s direct financial benefit increased to an average of $250 per member household in 2021 according to research by the Credit Union National Association. The strength and trust we have built over the years allows us to increase our community support. As our numbers grow, so does our ability to give back to the communities we serve. With our “Pennies Add Up” program, two cents are donated to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation every time a member uses their debit or credit card. The Foundation is committed to promoting the education, health, and emotional well-being of children in our communities and donated $3.6 million to local communities this year alone - with over $36 million donated since its inception in 1990.

As an organization, we are grateful for the dedication of our employees, the loyalty of our members, and the shared love of our communities. Our company culture continues its focus on creating a happy and engaged workforce, not only because it is the right thing to do, but because it also translates to happier members receiving exceptional service. This high level of service and satisfaction is reflected in our overall member engagement score that speaks to members’ experiences with employees, which was an outstanding 98% positive score for the year. It’s not just our members that agree; we were recognized again for national awards in service, including another year as a Forbes Best-in-State Credit Union. With so much to be thankful for, we turn our focus once again to the future - which for Suncoast Credit Union has never been brighter. To ensure we are set up to maximize the growth opportunities ahead of us in the coming year, we continue harnessing and nurturing the strengths of our greatest asset, the people of Suncoast. We value the contributions of our diverse workforce and remain committed to creating an inclusive workplace. We deepened

that commitment with the addition of an expanded Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program and deployed several new employee resource groups to ensure we have a workforce that is engaged and reflective of the communities we serve. This continued commitment helps create lasting relationships between our Suncoast team and the members we serve, allowing us to fulfill our promise of helping members live their best lives. On behalf of our board of directors, leadership team, and entire staff, we proudly present the 2021 Annual Report and hope you enjoy learning about our accomplishments in the past year. We dedicate it to you, our members.

The credit union operates under the laws of the United States of America and is a state chartered financial institution, which is regulated by the Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) for the State of Florida. Deposits are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. Examiners of both the OFR and NCUA make periodic examinations to ensure proper operation of the credit union. The credit union’s Board of Directors appoints a Supervisory Committee responsible for safeguarding the credit union’s assets and protecting the interests of the members. In this capacity, we are pleased to present the 2021 report.

Dr. Robert Jones Director

The committee engaged the certified public accounting firm of Moss Adams LLP to perform an independent audit. In the opinion of the auditors, the credit union’s complete set of financial statements, which are not presented in the report, present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the credit union as of December 31, 2021 and the results of its operations and its cash flows for the year ended. Furthermore, the committee meets monthly and reviews the work performed by the Internal Audit Department in financial and operational areas of the credit union. Based on the above activities, it is the unanimous opinion of the Supervisory Committee that Suncoast Credit Union is financially solid and is being operated safely and soundly.

Where We Stand * Unaudited and unconsolidated

Such exciting news to end a year which has otherwise seen a continuation of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Suncoast’s members, staff and the communities we serve. Despite this, Suncoast’s financial results remained strong for 2021: assets grew to almost $15 billion or a 21% increase over 2020, with net loan growth of 8% and transfers to reserves of $173 million. This high level of performance is partially due to the influx of the Federal government stimulus dollars received by our members, which increased deposits and assets, as well as decreased loan delinquencies and chargeoffs to historically low levels. Both of these factors greatly assisted in improving our ability to transfer more to reserves in 2021. Even with supply chain interruptions and inflation affecting many aspects of life this year, Suncoast was able to continue to offer

6

our members low rate loans and originated a record of $5.8 billion in loans in 2021! Auto loans continued to have the highest balances in our portfolio and experienced double digit growth, with the second highest being mortgage loans, which increased at a slower pace this year. Additionally, Suncoast continued to assist businesses by providing access to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans established by the CARES Act, many of which were forgiven by the government by the end of the year. We continued to focus on accelerating technology again this year to support both our online presence and 75 branches. This was accomplished by making the necessary investment in both the technological infrastructure to reinforce our large and growing operation, as well as hiring additional personnel with advanced skills to support the new technology and regulatory requirements. This enabled us to provide convenient service options for our members, as well as implement other innovative efficiencies to support growth and member value. Throughout these unprecedented times, Suncoast has remained financially strong and is more committed than ever to improving our members’ financial lives, and supporting the needs of local communities. The Suncoast Board of Directors, management and staff remain firmly committed to serving our members and protecting their financial health and well-being.

Showing Our Appreciation Through Innovation Suncoast members come from all walks of life, with different financial goals that relate to their personal journeys. Our job is to meet our members where they are, making it easy for them to manage their money and get comprehensive financial products and services for every stage of life. Since our members’ needs are always evolving, we continue to grow to meet and exceed those needs. In 2021, we added new programs and digital banking features to make our members’ lives easier and to help build their financial future.

Exciting Digital Enhancements Suncoast members lead busy lives, which means they need to be able to take care of their finances or manage their money from anywhere as they go about their day. Our team understands how important it is to have robust digital banking options, so we’re always finding new ways to enhance our mobile app and online banking features. In 2021, we expanded our digital payment options making it even easier to pay a Suncoast loan. In addition to our standard online bill pay and transfer features, we introduced another service that allows members to make payments using funds from another financial institution. With this new service members can set up one-time digital payments without logging into SunNet Online Banking or the SunMobile app. We also added a feature that lets members receive their monthly loan statement and make their payment through their smartphone’s native mobile wallet, like Apple Wallet or Google Pay. These convenient self-serve digital options provide choices and flexibility in how members make their payments, gives them time back in their busy day to day schedules, and increases the time our Member Advocates have to provide more personalized service on more complex service requests.

Meet Our Millionth Member: Ferzeda Richardson There is trust in numbers and having the distinct honor of serving over a million members is an accomplishment that means a lot to us. Why? Because it is proof of the value we offer members, the quality service our employees provide, and the overall trust our members have in our credit union. Especially because many of our members are our biggest advocates, referring their friends and family members to join Suncoast. Knowing that we would likely reach the millionth member milestone in late 2021, plans were put into place to create a bit of pomp and circumstance around the millionth member joining Suncoast with an in-branch celebration of the millionth member, followed by a months-long celebration filled with offers and giveaways for all of our members in early 2022.

See Ferzeda be honored by the Suncoast Team for being our millionth member!

Suncoast welcomed its one-millionth member, Ferzeda Richardson, at our Big Bend (Riverview) location on December 29, 2021. Ferzeda was surprised by Kevin Johnson, President and CEO, as well as members of senior leadership, and branch employees. To help recognize Ferzeda’s unique status as our millionth member, she was presented with a Suncoast prize-pack and a $1,000 deposit into her newly opened account! Ferzeda joined entirely online, using Suncoast’s newly enhanced online member application. When asked why Ferzeda chose Suncoast, she candidly shared “I wanted to bank somewhere I could actually save money.”, referring to our low fees and high returns for members. Wow! We are honored to know that Ferzeda joined for the same reason hundreds of thousands before her – the fantastic value and service we provide.

Member Voices Dr. Mounika Faleban Member since 2015

Mounika Falemban, DDS has been a Suncoast member since 2015. She became a member after hearing great things from her colleagues about Suncoast. Since there was a Suncoast branch located near her dental practice, it was a convenient choice for a financial partner. As a child, Dr. Falemban loved going to the dentist. The kindness of those childhood dental appointments made her want to be a dentist. Then while in dental school, she found her true inspiration in her professor, Dr. Nathanael Salako. Dr. Falemban followed her dream and became a pediatric dentist, opening a small office called Kid Zone Dentistry in Gibsonton. She is dedicated to her young patients, providing oral healthcare to the kids in her community. But when the pandemic began, Dr. Falemban’s business faced challenges. She stopped taking any salary so she could pay her staff. With changing health guidelines, the cost of personal protection equipment, and operating under reduced hours due to social distancing and staff health considerations,

Rob Kriete

Member since 1997 After spending 24 years helping students as a teacher, Rob Kriete wanted the opportunity to find ways to improve the teaching and learning conditions for Hillsborough County teachers, education support professionals, and students. In his role as president of the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association, he gets to do just that. (cont’d)

16

Dr. Falemban turned to Suncoast for help with a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan. “I am so grateful to Ms. Kim Donnelly (a Suncoast Micro Enterprise Development Specialist) who was so kind and helpful in walking me through the process,” Dr. Falemban said. “I’m extending my gratitude to Suncoast for helping our small business survive the harsh year and keep us going to help the children of our community.”

Judy Harrison Member since 1988

In 1988, Judy Harrison started working part-time as a lunchroom aide at Tampa’s Armwood High School. One of her coworkers recommended she join Suncoast, which was then called Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union. From that first savings account she opened in 1988, Judy became a loyal member and advocate for Suncoast. Judy takes full advantage of what Suncoast has to offer, with checking, savings, money market, share certificate, retirement and investment accounts, plus a Suncoast Rewards credit card. She and her husband also use Suncoast for the bee business they started after Judy retired from the school system. “I would recommend Suncoast to anybody,” Judy said. “It has been instrumental in my life.” She has recommended Suncoast to countless people over the years, sometimes personally bringing family and friends into their local branches so they could join and reap the benefits, much like she has. During her 20 year career as a manager of the kitchen at Hillsborough High School, she shared

the same passion for Suncoast with her work-family too. Judy would often have Suncoast employees come speak to her team to teach them about the benefits of banking with a credit union and the importance of saving early for retirement. “This is YOUR credit union,” Judy said. “You’re not just banking here. You belong, and rightfully so, because you own part of it.”

(cont’d)

Rob was a Suncoast Credit Union member for many years for his banking and financial needs. So when we launched our Educators Choice program through our Suncoast Trust and Investment Services division, he was eager to sign up and take advantage of the incredible benefits. “The experts at Suncoast were able to walk me through my options for preparing for my retirement and helped me create a strategy that worked well for me and my family,” Rob said. “Suncoast was able to show me the many different routes and options for my own retirement giving me a clear picture of what it can look like based on the decisions I made.”

As a leader in the education space, Rob wants all educators to achieve their future dreams. He knows that retirement planning is an important opportunity for educators to understand their options and to create a strategy for retirement. “I recommend the Educators Choice program because Suncoast provided me clear options for all of my financial needs without pressure,” Rob said. “Their ability to listen and offer suggestions was amazingly helpful giving my family and me confidence in our financial future.”

17

Community Impact People helping people is one of the guiding principles of the credit union philosophy, which is why giving back to the communities we serve is so important to our culture at Suncoast. As the pandemic continued, our devotion to giving back to our communities grew ever stronger. In 2021, we provided grants, scholarships, event support, and even celebrated our 75th branch with $75,000 of donations in 75 days! And since Suncoast donates two cents to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation every time a member uses their credit or debit cards, we donated $3.6 million dollars to our local communities in 2021. Since the inception of this program in 1990, we’ve donated more than $36.5 million to help children in our communities.

Giving Back Through the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation helps children in our community in so many powerful ways. Every dollar we donate is truly a life changed. And none of it would be possible without our members. For example, a grant from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to the Charlotte County Education Foundation was able to provide students with access to over 6,000 enhanced digital books through the MyOn reading program. This student-focused literacy program dynamically matches books to students by their interests, grade and reading level. We are proud to support such an innovative way to engage young readers! Funding from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation also helped improve the lives of Pasco County students in 2021 with an exciting, hands-on project that students loved. This STEM-related donation helped fund the Pasco Environmental Adventure Camp. This program let students perform an excavation to identify fossils in dig pits, dissect a dinosaur model and learn how to explore and preserve Florida’s unique natural resources.

18

And that wasn’t our only STEM-related donation in 2021. We also provided funding so students in Sarasota could investigate a meteor. At Wilkinson Elementary, students investigated a meteor that had “fallen” to earth outside their school, creating a crater. All week, students gained hands-on experience in earth space science and geology. This was the first such immersive educational adventure at Wilkinson since the pandemic began, and students relished this applied learning opportunity. We understand that students need to be provided with the tools they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. That’s why we also provided a grant to Lighthouse of Pinellas for their Early Invention Children’s Program. This funding helped 50 visually impaired children get specialized care and training, both in the classroom and in their homes. These are only a few of the many examples of how the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation changed young lives in 2021. Our donations spanned our entire footprint, all aiding in the education, health and emotional well-being of children in our communities.

Helping Seniors Stay Connected Suncoast Credit Union has always been a company that cares about seniors. As the pandemic continued, many seniors found themselves in isolation. We expanded our financial support for the Seniors in Service organization, becoming the title sponsor of the Telepals program. Telepals provides a solution to the devastating physical and mental consequences of loneliness by engaging volunteers who regularly call isolated seniors to connect through friendly conversation. For some seniors it may be the only conversation they have all day. We’ve seen a phenomenal impact in so many lives thanks to this program. Joan, a senior who recently lost her husband of more than 70 years, was connected to community volunteers like Angie through Telepals. Angie’s phone calls became a source of companionship Joan could rely on to brighten her day and alleviate the loneliness. Over the next few months, they built a friendship and began meeting in person. Another Telepals volunteer realized that her senior was in need of more than just a phone connection. She connected her senior with needed resources, enrolling her for SNAP and grocery deliveries, even making sure that she received her favorite food – melons! Because of Suncoast Credit Union’s support of TelePals, these seniors are living a more empowered, comfortable life.

Providing Financial Education to Students Teaching children and young adults about money management when they’re young can help begin healthy financial habits for life. In 2021, we were able to impact 5,603 learners and give 126 financial literacy presentations. We also continued our partnership with EverFi, using their financial education software in schools to teach students about budgeting and saving. More than 16,500 hours of financial education were completed with this program in 2021.

Suncoast also virtually participated in the Great American Teach In, helping more than 2,200 students in 22 schools learn about financial careers. Our annual Financial Football tournament was also virtual in 2021. Local high school students competed against each other in an online financial literacy game to earn prizes. Martin Ladjimi representing Largo High and the Ryan Nece Foundation won first place, winning a $250 Visa gift card and $250 donation to a nonprofit organization.

19

Community Impact Volunteering in the Community Suncoast employees are committed to going out into the communities we serve to make a positive difference through volunteering. During the pandemic, we still found ways to give back, safely participating in local events, donating needed items and finding virtual volunteering opportunities. During our annual Pay It Forward Day efforts in October, 735 Suncoast employees volunteered a total of 2,667 hours! That single day’s volunteer efforts by Suncoast employees had a total monetary impact of $76,125. Our team’s philanthropic spirit lasted all year long, with employees volunteering for all sorts of causes that were close to their hearts. In total, 962 Suncoast employees volunteered for 12,371 hours in 2021.

Introducing the Suncoast Credit Union Academy for Financial Empowerment One of the meaningful ways we help the community is by empowering people to take control of their finances. That’s why Suncoast launched the Suncoast Credit Union Academy for Financial Empowerment (SAFE) program in 2021. This 10-week program includes activity-based learning, oneon-one private and group financial coaching. Interactive sessions cover topics on the basics of personal finance, understanding credit and building a better budget. Eight participants from various community organizations throughout Hillsborough County were part of the inaugural class. Through the SAFE program participants develop a passion for financial literacy that they can use to make a positive difference. Participants have already experienced wins. From being able to pay for their wedding without debt to saving over $600 in a single month, SAFE graduates learned that financial success is not about the size of a paycheck, it’s about the ability to reach goals.

Expressing Our Gratitude Through Giving

$75k in 75 days Charitable Giving Celebration In 2021, Suncoast Credit Union, celebrated our 75th branch opening with the Fruitville Service Center in Sarasota. To commemorate this achievement, we donated $75,000 to local non-profits across the areas we serve with our $75k in 75 days Charitable Giving Celebration. Supporting local communities is a cornerstone of Suncoast’s culture, so it was important that our branch celebration also serve to support valuable charitable work across the state. Each of our 75 branches selected a local charity within their community to receive $1,000. See the 75 donations made to local charities here.

“What better way to celebrate our 75th service center than by giving back directly to the communities that support us through their membership and have allowed us to become Florida’s largest credit union,” - Kevin D. Johnson, President and CEO of Suncoast

One Million Reasons to Love Working at Suncoast Suncoast employees bring their hearts to work each day to make sure our members get the very best. That’s why our culture lets our employees thrive and succeed.

Adapting Workspaces to Meet Team Needs In recent years, workplace needs have changed. To ensure our teams are able to maximize their efficiency, we’ve updated the options for how our teams work each day. As always, we have some positions that are located in a Suncoast office or branch. We also have remote work options for select positions, while others are hybrid, letting employees work from their home office some days and come into the office others. These flexible career options help us attract new talent, and make sure that every department at Suncoast has the ability to securely staff their positions in the way that best suits their specific needs.

Offering Career Development Opportunities

At Suncoast, we have so much more than just jobs — we offer careers! Whether an employee wants to work their way up in a specific field or learn something new, our career paths let our team build the futures they want. Our Leadership Excellence Achievement Program (LEAP) had a new class of graduates in 2021. LEAP is a year-long leadership development program geared towards cultivating management and leadership talent within the credit union. We also continued to offer other leadership and learning development opportunities, with workshops available in a variety of topics. Employees can also shadow other team members through our CU 360 program. Managers are also encouraged to continue to grow and develop at Suncoast. Our management development journey is a series of competency-based workshops aimed to align development and training with established manager competencies and support vertical growth within the management career stream.

Hiring New Team Members in New Ways As we approached the incredible milestone of reaching one million members in 2021, we needed to make sure we had the team needed to support them. To accomplish this, we had a number of hiring initiatives designed to find the very best talent to become new Suncoast employees. Our job fairs in 2021 were more than just an opportunity to start an amazing career with Suncoast. We also offered signing bonuses to new hires and referral bonuses for Suncoast employees. To ensure the safety of potential hires and Suncoast employees, we even offered drive-thru job fairs that allowed for applications and interviews to be completed from the safety of an applicant’s car during the pandemic. The results of these efforts were astounding, bringing our team to more than 2,100 employees strong to better serve our members.

Achieving Accolades With all the excellent work our team does each day, it’s no wonder we often receive recognition for it. We’re honored by the local and national accolades we’ve received, as they represent everything we’ve achieved during our mission to help our members and communities thrive.

Some of our accomplishments in 2021 include: 2021 Florida Trend Florida 500 | Best Credit Union- Citrus County Chronicle’s Best of the Best 2021 | Forbes Best-in-State Credit Union | Best Bank- Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay | Top Credit Union 2021- NerdWallet | Best Local Credit Union- Best of SRQ Local | Top 100 banks for 2021- Go Banking Rates | Kevin Johnson: Power 100 Most Influential Leaders- Tampa Bay Business Journal | Best Credit Union- Tampa Bay Times’ Best of the Best | Reader’s Choice 2021- Chiefland Citizen | Top Place to Work 2021- Tampa Bay Times | Best of Gulfshore 2021- Gulfshore Life | Best BankSouthwest Florida Palm Awards

Continuing Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Our culture at Suncoast celebrates multiple points of view because we know our strengths are in our differences. As a credit union, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are among the cooperative principles that we live by. From our community outreach to supporting the needs of our minority-majority workplace, our commitment to DEI is woven into all we do at Suncoast.

Our newest employee resource groups are Black Leaders and Allies Cultivating Change (BLACC), LGBTQ+ & Allies and Suncoast’s Alliance for Leadership and Unification of Troops and Employees (SALUTE). Each of these groups have their own mission, vision and goals, but they all offer our entire team a sense of connection and camaraderie.

Last year, we launched three new employee resource groups, founded and led by volunteer team members. These groups meet, support each other and share their unique experiences to enhance the work environment and give back to the community.
