The sun has started shining, the weather is warming up, and we are working diligently on getting Nelson Farm Pool and Nellie's open for the season for you all to enjoy!
For those of you who I have not had the pleasure in meeting, I am Phillip Hopper, Director of Club Experiences. In this role, I oversee the Tumble Creek Hill House Operations and Nelson Farm Pool Operations including Nellie's. I have been with Suncadia since 2019, starting as a Recreation Supervisor/Lifeguard Lead, and most recently overseeing the Swim and Fitness Center/Nelson Farm Pool While my position has narrowed with the Swim and Fitness Center now being overseen by Zane Stanbery and his team, but I am excited to have more energy to focus on continually improving the experiences provided in our Club amenities.
Our top priority will always be safety We have invested more resources than ever before in safety through development and will have three AAA Food Protection Managers, two Certified Pool Operators (CPO), and a Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) on our internal team. Cameron Coon, who was promoted to Nelson Farm Pool Manager for this season and holds all three of those certifications, is well-versed in all aspects of safety whether you are in the pool or eating lunch.
An equally important priority is service We have assembled a team of individuals who we have instilled the idea that they are much more than just the position they are in and are being tasked with providing a service that is personable and consistent. That isn't just a server making your milkshake, that is Blake who played soccer at Ellensburg and is now an undergrad at CWU. He connected with your son over their love for soccer. The team is being trained to build relationships with you all Cameron will have Aavin Moshay, Nellie's Supervisor, focused specifically on food service, in a position and focus that Nellie's needed Service is nothing if the areas are not clean, so we are also training on the importance of keeping our areas looking their best for as much of the day as possible. We have 8 training sessions in May to get these concepts instilled in the team. Our goal is to enhance the service you have been accustomed to and make Nellie's the amenity it deserves to be
These both feed into our third priority, which is providing you all with memorable experiences Whether you are lap swimming in the morning, showcasing Suncadia to some guests from out of town, or enjoying a cabana with your extended family, we want to provide you with positive, memorable experiences.
Updates:
We have decreased the amount of retail available in the check-in building to avoid being cluttered so we can focus on the check-in experience.
We will still have items such as swim diapers and sun block (essentials), but a majority of retail offerings will be found at the Swim and Fitness Center
The locker rooms received some fresh paint along the walls and a deep cleaning will be occurring in mid-May
Complimentary coffee will now be available to lap swimmers.
Wind Sails will be installed over the fire pit area.
New table covers for Nellie's Restaurant furniture.
Additional seating at Nellie's has been added by way of picnic tables with their own umbrellas
The landscaping areas inside the pool area have received a facelift with the addition of raised planters, fresh mulch, and greenery that wasps do not like such as Lavendar and lemon grass. Cabana pricing now includes 10% food and beverage for the duration of your reservation and the ability to add-on items to your reservation are now included through the booking.
You will be able to order the entire drink menu every day; however, the Nellie's Bar window will only be open on Fridays and Saturday with additional openings for holiday weekends If we evaluate a need for this being open more, we will adjust operations accordingly.
We are partnering with Glade Spring Spa to bring pool-side spa services to you all out of Cabana 8. While this can't be guaranteed, we are looking to begin these service Mid-June.
While we value face-to-face feedback more than anything else, we have implemented a new email for the operation at nfp@suncadia com Please reach out to us with any comments, questions, concerns, etc here

All club members checking in, will need to pay the associated fees for their Extended Family Members ($8/person) and Guests ($12/person)
Extended Family Members are allowed utilize the facilities without the Primary Members but cannot bring guests of their own.
Member Guests must have the accounts Primary Member with them to access the facilities. You do not need to pay fees for children age 3 and younger. (Under 3 is Free).
Paid fees are good for the duration of the day purchased and can be used at both facilities when receipt is presented
Young children who are not bathroom-dependent must wear swim diapers. This is so we can all enjoy the pool for longer and limit closures.
