STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM RE-BORN
It has been a hugely important half term for Student Leadership. Applications were made and interviews held for Head Students. After a very competitive process, it was pleasing to announce the appointment of Mohammed Ameen and Leah Mills to the position of Head Students for the next 12 months. Following this, campaigning took centre stage and elections were held for House and Vice Captains. Each House Captain will take control of one of our 6 student groups. All students within the school have the opportunity to make a difference and join one of these groups; Charities, Community, Eco, Equality, Standards and Wellbeing.
School Production 16th and 17th July End of Term 19th July TIPS OF THE HALF TERM English: If you are not already members, spend some time with your child in the public library and ensure they are members. Maybe it’s a habit that has dwindled for you over recent years - go and see what they can offer in terms of new and exciting reading materials. There is strong evidence to show that reading for pleasure increases the chances of success at GCSE, and the right choice of text also helps develop the ability to concentrate and use quiet leisure time appropriately, which in turn is good for mental well-being. DT: “Measure twice and cut once” - getting pupils to check their practical carefully to ensure high levels of accuracy. All measurements are in millimetres unless otherwise stated.
