International Department Publishes Webinar

SCA International Program Director Kathy Tharp and SCA Student Intern Senior Mackenzie Madsen were honored to record a webinar for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) on Developing International Student Relationships Through a Buddy Program. Mrs. Tharp had previously been invited by Dr. Erin Wilcox of ACSI to do an International Student Program endorsement, during which Dr. Wilcox learned of SCA’s Buddy Program. This initiated the request for SCA to create the interview-type webinar that is now offered through ACSI’s International Student Program Service. SCA Celebrates International Education Week

Franklin and Tony created video footage of their community to share with elementary and secondary students for SCA’s International Education Week. SCA recently celebrated the ninth annual International Education Week (IEW), part of SCA’s commitment to building a global community throughout the school. During IEW, K-12 students engage in educational opportunities including games, presentations, and cuisine from across the globe. This year, SCA’s eight international students from England, Peru, China, and South Korea, along with students in SCA’s World Language classes, shared various countries and cultures with fellow students by creating and sharing videos.
