Senior Receives Perfect ACT Score

Senior Andrew Mishriky received a perfect 36 on his American College Testing (ACT) score. The ACT test is scored based on a 1-36 scale range in four sections of reading, math, science, and English. The average of the subject scores is taken to get the composite score which will range from 1-36. In 2020, nearly 1.6 million students took the test and less than 6,000 scored a full 36, making this an achievement that approximately .33% of the ACT test-takers will achieve. For the 2021-2022 school year, the average ACT score nationally was 20.3, and the Missouri state average was 20.7. “Andrew is a young man that loves the Lord,” shared Secondary Principal Joe Hesman. “Whenever I think of Andrew, I am reminded of the verse: ‘Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…’ (Col 3:23). This is most definitely Andrew. He does his best in everything that he is part of– his relationship with God, academics, his sports, etc. Andrew is a young man that I absolutely believe will make an extremely positive impact on the world!” Andrew desires to attend the University of Missouri—Kansas City’s six-year medical program.

Record Enrollment at SCA As We Celebrate our 33rd Year

SCA is celebrating the 33rd year serving Lee’s Summit and the Kansas City metro with record enrollment of nearly 1200 preschool-12th grade students. The school has expanded to five sections of kindergarten and four sections of many other elementary and secondary classes, and will have a graduating class of 71 this year. This is a monumental school year at SCA as the campus’s third building — Fieldhouse & Activity Center — is under construction. The Activity Center is set for completion in spring 2023 and will have bleacher space to accommodate 1200. This will provide students with increased athletic and activity enrichment opportunities. The senior class started their first day of the new year with a time of prayer and worship. It was a great start to a great day, to what I believe will be a great year,” shared Head of School Chris Hahn. “I was blessed to begin my day with the Class of 2023 in prayer for the year. I am excited, grateful, and humbled for this group of Seniors and to have them as our campus leaders. I am incredibly humbled and excited to serve the children and families God has brought to SCA with our faculty and staff. WE ARE SCA, We are the FUTURE!”

Fifth grade student Emiah and Dad Jason are all smiles as SCA kicks off the first day of school of the 2022-23 school year.
