SCA THEATRE STUDENT BIOS Veronica Brizuela (Makeup and Hair Crew) is in 8th grade and this is her first year having a part in theatre. She’s always really liked seeing the stage crews for the shows she’s watched, so when she got the chance, she decided to sign up for a crew. Matthew Brownlee (Frank, Ensemble) is a freshman at SCA. This is his 13th show at SCA and his 7th year in theatre. His favorite previous roles include Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, Matthew in Anne of Green Gables, Harold in R+H Cinderella, and John Darling in Peter Pan. Matthew would like to thank his parents for allowing him to do theatre, Mrs. Horine for her amazing directing, and Mr. Hilton for his special addition to the theatre community. Elijah Burk (Sword Dancer, Ensemble) is a sophomore at SCA. Brigadoon is his first theatrical show. He was brought into theater by Kai Burke, and she and friend James along with Braeden have encouraged him and helped him to do better. Kai Burke (Jean MacLaren, Painting Crew) has been doing shows at SCA for three years. She has been in Cinderella, Hello Dolly, and now, Brigadoon! This is her first show being cast in a speaking role and she is super excited to have the opportunity to act. She would like to thank her parents for always encouraging her, and her dad specifically because he has helped so much in the theater program when it comes to building. She would also like to thank Abbie Cook because she has been the one she has always gone to when needing information about the show. She is always there to help and is an amazing choreographer, actress, and scenic designer! Josephine Carrera (Mist of Morning Dancer, Ensemble) is a freshman and this is her 3rd show. She has also performed in Cinderella and Hello Dolly! at SCA. Josie loves getting to spend time with her fellow cast mates and the crew. She would like to thank her family for their encouragement, love, and support. Josie is grateful to the Lord for his faithfulness and blessings in her life, and she hopes to shine his light through all she does! Emma Coats (Meg Brockie, Set Painting Crew) is a junior and this is her 8th show at SCA. Her favorite roles have been Charlotte in Cinderella, Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly! and Mrs. Darling in Peter Pan. Emma would like to thank all of her friends and family for always supporting her. She would especially like to thank her sister, Katie, for always being there for her even though she lives 644 miles away. She would also like to thank her best friend, Abigail, for being super supportive. Emma would also like to thank the cast, crew, and directors for putting their time and effort into this show. Lastly, Emma would like to thank God for saving her and being her rock. Abbie Cook (Mist of Morning Dancer, Fishmonger, Student Choreographer, Scenic Design Lead) is a senior at SCA. This is her 17th show at SCA and 19th show in general. Previous roles include Victoria in The Pirate Bride, Heather Chandler in Heathers, and the Footman in Cinderella Broadway. Abbie would like to thank her family for supporting her all of these years and her boyfriend who has been by her side. She would also love to thank her mom! Adelle Cochran (Makeup and Hair Crew) has always loved acting whether it was just in my room or in front of my friends. Taking this step in being part of the theater has been so much fun. I'm planning to be part of the cast next year. Gabe Creason (Ensemble, Featured Soloist) liked being Cook 2 in Hello Dolly! even though he didn't have to cook. Gabe would like to thank Elijah Zicari for being there for him. Violet Darby (Ensemble, Featured Soloist) is a freshman at SCA. This is her 4th show at SCA and 6th show overall. Her favorite role was playing Marilla Cuthbert in Anne of Green Gables. Violet would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her. She wants to thank the seniors, especially Ella Jones, for being amazing mentors and helping her strive for greatness in theater and in her life. Addie Davies (Meg Understudy, Ensemble) is a junior at SCA and this is her 2nd show at SCA. She has enjoyed being a part of many shows with CYT, RPAC, and various school productions. Her favorite roles to date have been Little Fiona in Shrek, Charlie in Elf, and Lily St. Regis in Annie. She would like to thank her mom and her voice teacher Susanna for helping her voice grow, her family and friends for supporting her, and God for ya know... everything. She would also like to thank you for coming to see this beautiful production.
BreAnna Ellison (Mist of Morning Dancer, Ensemble) is a sophomore and this is her 2nd show at SCA. BreAnna has enjoyed being a part of such a fun group of people. She enjoys painting sets on theatre work days with her friends. She would like to thank her brother, Joshua, for introducing her to theatre last year. BreAnna would also like to thank her parents for encouraging and allowing her to do theatre. Josie Gillihan (Ensemble) is a freshman at SCA. This is her 5th show at SCA and 7th show in general. She is a member of the Ensemble. Her favorite ensemble role was Stepsisters Lament in Hello Dolly! Josie would like to thank her family for supporting her. She would also like to thank God for His many blessings. Abigail Gleason (Jane Ashton, Ensemble) is a sophomore and this is her 8th show at SCA and 11th overall. Her favorite roles to have been Jane Ashton in Brigadoon and Carlotta Carlyle in The Alibis. Abigail would like to thank her family for their support, her upperclassmen for giving her tips and tricks, her father for his help with learning her music, and her family friends for their encouragement. However, she is most grateful to the Lord for giving her opportunities such as this. Abigail would like to dedicate her performance to her late grandfather, Ted, who always encouraged her to pursue her dreams. Hunter Harris (Tommy Albright) is a senior and has been involved in theatre since he was 6 years old. Brigadoon is his 13th at SCA and he is nearing his 30th show in total. Some of his favorite roles have been Romeo in The Suessification of Romeo and Juliet, Kurt in The Sound of Music, and Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly!. Hunter would like to thank his parents for all they have done for him throughout his musical theatre and acting experience--from driving him to and from rehearsals at a young age to still showing up at rehearsals to help in any way possible; they have been there for him always. Hunter would also like to thank his brother and sister as they have walked alongside him in theatre and in life and have modeled Christ-like behavior on and off the stage. He would also like to give his thanks to Mrs. Horine and Mrs. Andersen for their direction of this show and the opportunities and love they both show and give. Most importantly, he would like to thank his Heavenly Father for His grace, love, patience, comfort, consistency, and eternal blessings that come with His grace. Charli Hinton (Kate, Ensemble) is a junior this year and this is her 10th show at SCA. She is the set crew head and likes to help backstage with the crew but also loves being on the stage. She would like to thank her parents and family for always supporting her and encouraging her to fight for the things she loves, as well as her fellow cast members who catch her up on the songs and dances when she comes in late from volleyball. Charli gives all the glory to God as He has given her this opportunity and the gifts to be able to sing and dance. George Hoelzel (Stuart Darlymple) is a junior at SCA. This is his 5th show at SCA. His previous roles include Cornelius Hackle in Hello Dolly! and Starky in Peter Pan. George is very excited to be able to perform as a sword dancer and sing as a tenor one soloist. George would like to thank his family for supporting him through every show and he would also like to thank his fellow "dance dads" in the sword dance performance. Holly Hoover (Mist of Morning Dancer, Ensemble) was in Hello Dolly! as an ensemble. She would like to thank Mrs. Horine and Mrs. Jodi for all they have done in these ensembles. This is her 3rd year at SCA and she loves it here. She would like to thank her parents for letting her be a part of the shows and she loves being in them. God put her in the right place; she loves it. She would like to thank her friends for hanging out and having fun during the show and she honestly doesn’t care if she has to dance with a boy. Ella Jones (Ensemble, Co-Costume Lead) is in her 6th year in theatre and 13th show at SCA. Her favorite role at SCA was Nibs (a Lost Boy) in Peter Pan. Ella would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her in theatre and all she does. She would also like to wish her sister, Jenna, a happy birthday! Jenna Jones (Ensemble, Costume Crew) is in seventh grade. This is her first time being in a show at SCA, but has been on costumes crew since fifth grade. She would like to thank her sister Ella Jones for introducing her to theater and being such a great inspiration to her. Lastly, Jenna would like to thank her parents for always being supportive of her and everything she does. Sean M. McCarty (Stage Crew) is a junior at SCA. This is his first show at SCA. He would like to thank his parents, especially his mother for pushing and encouraging me to join the theatre production. Throughout the production process, she has also helped him to break out of his shell and be a little more active in activities that involve social activity and hard work. Sean would also like to thank the SCA Theatre family for being welcoming and a joy to be around.
Hannah Mervin (Ensemble) is in 8th grade and this is her 3rd year at SCA. Some of her favorite roles are of Anne in Anne of Green Gables and Ensemble for Hello Dolly!. She would like to thank all the directors and crew members for all the hard work they put into the show. Hannah would also like to thank the dance instructors for spending long hours teaching dances. She would like to thank the friends she’s made through theatre. And lastly, Shea Rider who greatly inspired her love for theatre! Kenzie Osborn (Maggie Anderson, Mist of Morning Dancer) is a senior and this is her 4th show at SCA. She would like to thank her theatre friends for always encouraging her and creating memories with her that she will never forget. She would also like thank her family for supporting her and allowing her to do what she loves to do. Most importantly, she is grateful to the Lord for everything He has done in her life and she hopes to bring Him glory through this show! MariAlice Paszkiewicz (Ensemble) is in 7th grade and in her first year in theatre, so this will be her first show. She’d like to thank her older sister Maris for inspiring her to join theater and Mrs. Horine for being an incredible director. She’s also encouraged by her older sister, Mckulla because she’s attended her shows and continues to look up to her. Maris Paszkiewicz (Ensemble) is in 8th grade and this is her 4th SCA show. Her favorite role here was her role as Anne from Anne with an E. The people who have encouraged and inspired her throughout this process were her mom, dad, and siblings. Another person who encourages her is her friend, Hannah. She is always at my shows and lifting me up. Isaac Phillips (Ensemble) has been at SCA since kindergarten and is in 8th grade. This is his 6th theatre show. He is 14 and has always wanted to do theatre and thinks he has found a good path with theatre and God. His favorite role has been Micheal from Peter Pan. He has enjoyed every role he’s played and appreciates it a lot. Mylie Rowland (Ensemble) is a freshman and this is her 4th show and third year at SCA. Mylie enjoys being a part of the theatre family, and getting to meet new people who share the love of the theatre. Her favorite role was getting Anne II in the Junior High play of Anne of Green Gables. Mylie would like to thank her parents for their support and taking her back and forth from theatre and school. As well as her friends who have made the theater experience much more fun. Elijah Sanders (Ensemble) is a very eager and excited Ensemble member in 7th grade. In fifth grade, he performed was one of the main characters, Meshack, in Danny and the Shacks. You can ask Mrs. Hoover about it. Makayla and Josiah were a part of this, too. Together they were all main characters: they took that stage and shined as bright as they could. Elijah was so proud of them. He thanks them for helping support him through this time. They are amazing friends. He would like to thank Mrs. Hoover for being an amazing choir teacher and director! Nora Schuh (Mist of Morning, Ensemble, Co-Costume Crew Lead) is a senior this year and this is her 14th show at SCA. She would like to thank her family and friends for their encouragement and support, especially Sav for being her person, Uber, and chef. Finally, she would like to thank anyone who played a part in making this production wonderful! Abby Siemsen (Ensemble) is a freshman this year and this is her 4th show. Her favorite role is Geraldine in The Alibis. Eli Skinner (Stewart MacGregor) is a freshman this year and this is his 3rd show at SCA. He would like to thank his family and friends for their encouragement and support. He would also like to thank God. Morgan Sommers (Archie Beaton) is in his first show at SCA. He would like to thank the whole team for all their hard work and for always putting up with me to help me learn the dances. Theater has been a ton of fun this year and It is a great way to make friends! Izzy Thompson (Ensemble) is a freshman at SCA. She is so glad that she was able to be a part of the musical this year! She would like to thank both her parents for supporting and encouraging her, Livy, her sister, for being such a great friend, and the whole theater community for putting so much work into the show. This is Izzy’s sixth show at SCA and her seventh overall. Her favorite role that she has played is Sara Crewe in the show, A Little Princess. Izzy has loved being a part of this show’s cast and is excited for opening night!
Livy Thompson (Mist of Morning Dancer, Ensemble) is a senior at SCA. She would like to thank her parents for encouraging her to participate in theatre because she wouldn’t be where she is right now without that little nudge, and her friends for encouraging her to audition for an on-stage role for her last year. This is her 17th show at SCA which is all the way from seventh grade up until today. Her favorite role is being a townsperson because this is her first chance to dance and sing on stage among her friends. She was the Tech Director in most of her previous shows but felt like it was best to continue her change of scenery. She is an official member of the International Thespian Society and has achieved the title of Secretary on the Council. Her favorite show was The Importance of Being Earnest for two reasons: one being because she realized that the cast and crew were like her second family and the other reason being that she loved the plot twists and comedy. Livy has really enjoyed working with the cast and crew on this show and is looking forward to a great production and many more to come! Levi Tomlin (Angus MacGuffie) is a junior at SCA. This is his 7th show at SCA and his 8th show overall. Roles he has really enjoyed playing are August in The Pirate Bride, Barnaby in Hello Dolly, Peter Pan in Peter Pan, and Kurt in The Sound of Music. Levi would like to thank his friends and family for the love and support, and Mrs. Horine for her grace and mercy. Last, but not least, he would like to thank the Lord for everything he has done for the cast and crew. Makayla Welch (Ensemble, Featured Soloist) is in her 4th show and she has been a part of and has loved every second of it. Some of her previous roles have been Anne IV in Anne of Green Gables, Lottie in A Little Princess, and a suitcase girl in Hello Dolly. She would like to thank her family for their support, the theater family including high schoolers for giving her help and advice, and her directors and music directors for their direction. Esther Willoughby (Ensemble) is a sophomore and this is her 4th show at SCA. Some previous shows and roles she’s done were ensemble for Hello Dolly!, Ticktock Croc for Peter Pan, and Glitterbell for Haphazardly Ever After. She would like to show gratitude toward my friends for helping her get through some of the stress that can come with being an actress (especially during show week and tech week). Braeden Wooldridge (Mr. Lundie) is a senior and this is his 4th show with SCA. Previous roles include Bertrand Fontouille in The Pirate Bride, Rudolph Reisnweiber in Hello, Dolly!, and various roles in One Acts. Braeden would like to thank his parents for encouraging him to try theatre and Mrs. Horine for helping improve his acting skills and for her wonderful directing. He would also like to thank Mrs. Hoover for pushing him as a singer. Finally, he would like to thank the theatre boys and their upbeat environment as well as random jokes. To the Bunker! Hannah Wyssmann (Fiona MacLaren) is a senior and this is her 4th show at SCA and 6th show overall. She would like to thank her family, the SCA cast/crew, directors and music director, her vocal teacher and her close friends for their encouragement and support! Most of all she would like to thank the Lord for allowing her the opportunities she has been given--she gives Him all of the Glory! One of the things that she has enjoyed most about theatre is the chance to encourage her peers, especially her younger ones. It has been so wonderful to get to know them! Josiah Zicari (Ensemble) is a 7th grader, has been at SCA for 8 years, and has performed one other play in SCA. He performed King Darius in the 5th grade musical called Danny and the Shacks. Josiah would like to thank his parents for letting him do theater and encouraging him and Mrs. Horine for helping him along the way. Makayla Zicari (Ensemble) is in her 2nd show at SCA. She was Helga and Lion 1 in Danny and the Shacks. She is thankful to God that He is allowing us to act for Him at this school, and I'm thankful for my parents and the directors who made it possible for me to act here.
