They fought for us, tragically suffered, and so many gave their lives so that we can live in freedom, in a democracy. This sacred responsibility is enshrined in our duty to protect our independence and freedoms. We must never forget their sacrifices and remain vigilant in protecting the values they fought to preserve.

OUR FIGHT GOES ON

DEFENDING AGAINST FOREIGN INTERFERENCE

Today, our freedoms face new threats—not just from within, but from foreign interference. The tragic assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar and ongoing extortion demands against businesses and individuals are only the beginning. These attacks are a direct assault on our sovereignty and security.

Foreign interference is one of the greatest challenges we face. It undermines our democracy, threatens our prosperity, and compromises the safety of Canadians.

HOW WE FIGHT BACK

Our fight begins with speaking up.

If you feel threatened—online or in-person— please report it to the authorities. Speaking out is how we protect ourselves and each other.

Our fight also starts with leaders knowing. All political leaders must have security clearance to understand and act on the foreign threats that may be brewing within their own parties. To date, only one leader has failed to take this necessary step.

STANDING WITH YOU, FIGHTING WITH YOU

In February, I introduced a private members' motion (M-112) to protect Canadians from political interference, violence, and intimidation on our soil.

Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Minister Arif Virani have introduced Bill C-70, a new law that will strengthen our ability to detect, disrupt, and defend against foreign interference.

In addition to these efforts, I remain committed to ensuring that our national security is a top priority and that all Canadians are protected from foreign threats and undue influence.

DIVERSITY:

PROTECTING OUR SHARED FUTURE

Canada's strength is its diversity, with people from all over the world coming together to build a brighter, united future of opportunity and shared success.

By standing together, we protect the values that define us: freedom, democracy, and the right to live without fear. We will continue to ensure that foreign interference does not disrupt our way of life.

Our diversity is our strength, and it is this strength that will help us confront these challenges and continue to lead the world.
