WILL DOWNING Crooner, Singer, Entertainer
A
while ago I sat down with Mr. Will Downing and he is as charming and smooth as his music. We hear the lingo “smooth jazz” attributed to certain sounds, but I’d like to give him the moniker of “ smooth R&B master”. Even through health issues, this deep voice song master has remained a powerful music maestro. If you have that proverbial bucket list of people to see, he is one to put on that list. Will is coming back to the DMV area, a place that is like a second home to this native New Yorker. And Will is not just a locally loved fella, he is even adored throughout Europe. Will Downing is not just a singer, he has a passion for singing. Passion and love comes through every note he drops. Will emotes through his singing. What we feel when we’re in that love fugue, he puts that feeling in his music.(That dreamy state). When he was diagnosed with a medical concern he still continued to record. That’s passion. One of my all time favorite albums is the 2006 The Best of Will Downing The Millennium Collection. Sit back on a cold winters nite and you’ll be warmed through and through. Will Downing will be at the Birchmere in Alexandria Virginia, on January 29th and 30th, 2016. A perfect intimate set to re-acquaint yourself with a masterful crooner. Hope to see you there.
