Like Many Destination Venues, Six Flags America Seeks To Provide Year Round Attraction Value. And Here It Is.
F
irst, start with the cutting edge of the first week. Then, check out the cool splash of the water rides in July and August. Then fast forward to the creepy cool special effects and dramatic performances of the Fright Fest experience in October. Now, get ready to go beyond November at Six Flags. Six Flags, which opened in March 26 this year, is now a nearly year round theme park experience. Holiday in the Park debuts November 19 and will be available all weekends and select days through January 2. It’s on! Spring Break action was another first for the park this year. It included an 11-story Sky Coaster or racing your friends in the brand new Go Karts at Big Easy Speedway (March 25 - April 3). Check out Bark in the Park (May 20-22) a high energy dog competition from start to finish. Enjoy stunt dogs performing comedy antics and incredible feats. Superman: Ride of Steel (a virtual reality roller coaster), Apocalypse and all your favorite roller coasters and rides are still attractions at the park. But you can add these to the to-do list: Legend of the West: A Stunt Spectacular, to the all-new Chop Six restaurant featuring fresh Asian cuisine. Also, Splashwater Falls will complement the variety of experiences for the whole family including thrilling attractions like Tornado, a six-story funnel of fun; Bonzai Pipelines, the high altitude drop slide, Castaway Creek lazy river and the largest wave pool in the region. Parents can relax on a freeform deck surrounding Splashwater Falls complete with new lounge chairs and umbrellas. The little ones will enjoy exploring a variety of water play platforms, fountains, jets and water curtains, plus open and enclosed slides. With the addition of this new attraction, Hurricane Harbor will keep its place as the favorite summer destination for families from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and beyond to cool off. 11
