CASE STUDY THREE

Micro Bubble Coolant Cleaning and Purification Unit | JCC-HM Meeting Stringent EV Component Cleanliness Requirements While Cutting Operating Costs CUSTOMER OVERVIEW For EV components, even small amounts of residual metal contamination can create serious quality risks, including potential short circuits in electrical components and circuit boards. To meet strict cleanliness requirements, the customer needed a more effective way to remove fine particulate contamination from the cleaning solution while reducing the cost and labor associated with frequent fluid replacement.

KEY CHALLENGES

Meeting Strict EV Component Cleanliness Requirements The customer was required to maintain a cleanliness standard of no residual foreign particles measuring 0.4 mm or larger on finished components.

0.4 mm +

Frequent Fluid Changes Increased Operating Costs and Maintenance Labor To maintain cleaning solution quality, the customer replaced the fluid every week. This frequent replacement schedule increased cleaning labor, fluid costs, and overall operating expenses.

RESULTS: After Introducing the JCC-HM By continuously operating JCC-HM on the cleaning system tank, the customer removed contamination from the cleaning solution before it could impact part cleanliness or cleaning performance. Eliminated Critical-Sized Contamination Before JCC-HM installation, two particles measuring 0.4 mm or larger were detected. After installation, that number was reduced to zero, enabling the customer to meet cleanliness requirements consistently. Improved Quality Stability Removing larger contaminant particles helped stabilize cleaning performance and supported the stringent cleanliness standards required for EV components. Reduced Fluid Replacement Frequency by 50% The cleaning solution replacement interval was extended from weekly to biweekly, cutting the number of fluid changes in half. Delivered Annual Cost Savings of More Than $13,000 By reducing fluid replacement frequency, the customer saved approximately $13,125 in one year of cleaning solution replacement costs.
