PARTNERS NEWS Progress report on Suffolk’s bat Biodiversity Action Plan

Sue Hooton, Suffolk Bat Group and Suffolk County Council Since finalising the Suffolk BAP bats (grouped plan) in March 2012, the Suffolk Bat Group has been busy working on the actions to conserve all species of bats in the county. Like other plans, this is available on the Suffolk Biodiversity Partnership website (http://www.suffolkbiodiversity.org). The Suffolk Bat Group continues its long-term partnership work with landowners to protect all known hibernation sites in the county. However in 2012 we had to arrange for repairs to grilles at two locations as vandals had caused damage that jeopardised the security of these underground sites.
