Welcome to the May/June issue of the Trinity Spotlight. I am very pleased to say that in this issue the Community Spotlight pages are back. Thank you so much to the groups who have send me information. If you have any events running over the summer months and you would like to publicise them in the next issue please do send them in - see below for the deadline and distribution dates.

Kicking events off in May is Trinity Primary School May Fair with lots of activities to keep you entertained. Its always a great day for both kids and parents in my experience. Then we have Open Gardens in and around Trinity the following week then finish off the month with Goldenacre Scouts coffee morning. June also has both indoor and outdoor activities starting Music for Malawi in St Serfs Church. Then The Friends Of Victoria Park have organised Picnic In The Park mid June which has a loads going on during the day. Pop along, join in and meet your neighbours in the park. You will find details of dates and times for the events on the community pages.

Another event taking place in early June is Poppy Quest Edinburgh, a family-friendly fundraising challenge for all ages which is raising funds for Scotland’s Armed Forces community. Poppy Quest will test your observation skills and ingenuity – as well as your legs – while solving clues and rediscovering the city. You will find more details about the event and how to get involved on page 26. Go join in and have some fun at the same time.

I have one more issue before we hit the school holidays and the summer break. If you would like to feature in the next Spotlight please get in touch whether it be for a business, charity or a community event. I look forward to hearing from you.
