from press release Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is partnering with Salesforce, a cloud-based software company, to build a new voter registration system on high security servers with faster processing power and the most current technology for security. MTX Group Inc. (MTX) is the implementation partner for the new voter registration system. The voter registration system changes are entirely on the administrative side. Georgia voters will not see any difference in their voting experience. This new voter registration system is ranked by the Heritage Foundation as “the number one election system in the country for election security”. Qualifying fees set for Carroll County’s seats for commission and school board
by Janice Daniel and Sue Horn The Carroll County Board of Commissioners set qualifying fees for two Carroll County seats open for the 2022 Elections: Carroll County Board of Commissioner seats for districts 2, 4, and 6, and Carroll County School Board seats for districts 2, 5, and 7. The qualification fee (cost) for a candidate for a commission seat was set at $260.96. The cost for a candidate for a school board seat is $50.00. The commission seats are partisan; the school board seats are not. These fees were set at the January 22, 2022 Special Called Meeting held at 4:00 p.m. chaired by Vice-Chair Montrelle McClendon. This figure gives you an idea of the vast capability of solar power. The question is how are we doing in Georgia and Carroll County? In an interview with StarNews, Jennette Gayer, co-chair of Georgia Solar Energy Association (GSEA), stated, “As a comparison, the state of Nevada’s solar energy capacity is at 15%, which in that area makes sense.
