Perfluorocarbons are chemicals that constitute fluorine and carbon. Perfluorocarbons are used as alternatives to greenhouse gases that are used in various industrial applications and consumer durables. They are stable due to the high strength of carbon-fluorine bonds considered to be the strongest in organic chemistry.
