SUDBURY WOLVES MEDIA / SCOUTING NOTES
Friday, November 21st, 2025 | Sudbury Wolves vs. London Knights
The Sudbury Wolves are set to host the reigning Memorial Cup champion London Knights for their only visit to the Den this season. Last year, these two teams met twice, where the Knights claimed victory in both meetings. Tonight, the Wolves will look to return to the win column, while London aims to extend its lead atop the Midwest Division. The Wolves enter tonight's matchup sitting 5th in the Central Division with a record of 5-16-1-0, including a 4-6-1-0 record at home, and a 1-10-0-0 record on the road. The Knights are currently positioned 1st in the Midwest Division with a 13-6-3-0 record. At home, the Knights have a 7-12-0 record with a road record of 6-5-1-0.
Acquired from Niagara this offseason, Max Crete is now in his second season in the OHL, and his first as a London Knight. Selected in the second round of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, Crete earned a fulltime spot with the IceDogs as a rookie, playing in all 68 games, recording 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points, a performance that caught the eye of the Knights’ management. This season, Crete has built on a strong rookie campaign, providing depth scoring for the Knights with three goals and three assists through 21 games. With this year marking his draft-eligible season, Crete will look to elevate his production while showcasing his strong offensive instincts as he works towards getting his name called in the upcoming NHL Draft.
The London, ON native Ethan Dean is now in his sophomore season with the Sudbury Wolves. Selected by the Wolves in the second round of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, Dean made his debut last season, showcasing strong defensive instincts and serving as a key part of the penalty kill. Through 55 games, he tallied five assists and two goals, both of which were shorthanded markers. This season, Dean has recorded two assists through his first 21 games while continuing to be a strong defensive presence and a mainstay on the Wolves’ penalty kill. Down the stretch, Dean looks to increase his production and turn himself into a true two-way forward to catch the attention of scouts across the NHL.
